"Since so many of these champs would be awful to release as a 7* champion (like Red Hulk) and Kabam doesn't wanna just drop all the super strong champs right away, we might be looking at a new buff program soon that will be focussed on mostly champion reworks. Since so many of these remaining 6* locked champs would really need a full on new kit or a big tune-up. Personally this has me very excited as it almost feels like a full new release of a champion.

The only thing that was halted was the 6-month period after NEW Champion releases, where they were up for rebalancing. Buffs for older Champions / 6 Star Locked Champions, and in general, have not been stopped.

I appreciate the long and thoughtful post, though!

I wouldnt mind seeing more reasonably irrelevant champs get the same treatment, for no reason other than to make them fun

The relic actually does impact DOT and Instant DOT Effects in some rare scenarios…
When there is active Energy Resistance on the Opponent (via base stats, Statcast of their own, etc).
More often than not, this will not come into play, so you won't notice an uptick in Energy Damage in your day-to-day gameplay.

For ON HIT Energy Basic Attacks, it almost* always does, as it also interacts with Armor in this case.
Since all champs have a baseline Armor Value, the Relic generally always does apply to Energy-based Basic Attacks (with a few exceptions, such as Champions with no Armor stats).

Elaborate Champion Attribute Dev Diary breaking down all these interactions seems beneficial, going to see what I can do to make that happen.

I liked antmai better... I'd support auntmai if the guy had support option. But not this Khonshu, its laggy. Auntmai never was. Auntmai was superior by miles. The interface was much more friendly. Khonsu always felt overworked.

People asked for “fair match ups.” They got them.

It also happened more or less exactly how I said it would happen:

• You aren’t going to be getting competitive rewards if you don’t actually compete for them.
• You will end up in an isolated part of the game mode protected from the main competition.
• You will hurt the players in lower progression tiers who actually want to compete.

Kabam didn’t do something “completely different.” They did what (some) players asked for. If anyone asked for it but can’t accept the consequences of that choice, that’s a them problem.

If someone didn’t ask for this and think there are deleterious consequences, blame the players who demanded it. Over and over and over and over and over for years with no regard for the practical realities of what they were asking for. I actually advocated against it, but at the end of the day it doesn’t really affect me much at all.

Haven't spent money since last banquet (only $50), and I get to Gamma 1 with very minimal grinding. Not even close to a top allaince. So us commoners can do it. It's not p2w to get to GC at all.

This entitlement will never stop - If you're in Victory Track, you face anyone else in the same tier as you currently are, or up or down one tier if it can't find anyone.

I understand that GC isn't great and Uru players are matching Mysterium and such, but otherwise, why should weaker accounts only face weaker accounts, and stronger accounts only face stronger accounts, yet all playing for the same rewards??

If you only want to face accounts equivalent to your roster strength, then you should get lower rewards compared to those with stronger decks.
