7* Crystal issue = People saving shards for months, waiting for an updated pool so as soon as that update rolls over people start popping crystals COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS to the fact that the pool hadn't updated correctly. Yes, I was one of those people who opened at a few minutes after the bug crystal went live and just thought I was super unlucky (I can, hand on heart, say if I hadn't I wouldn't have been salty about kabam's decision for 1:1 compensation) but within that initial period of time before it was actually announced that the crystals were bugged NO ONE was aware that compensation of any sort would be issued. In conclusion: you cannot exploit something that you do not know is happening with a view to gaining an "unfair advantage" in a situation you don't know the outcome of!
For those quoting Zola-gate in response to this, that was also a different situation - 1 champ missing for which people received a selector for said champion. By the logic that the situations were treated differently anyone who opened their 7* crystals with the 21 champs missing should have received 21 selectors for either ALL of the missing champs OR 1 of the types of crystals they opened. Would the haters have considered that fairer? 1:1 probably was excessive but like it or not Kabam are a business and have to weigh up the cost of how much it would cost in time, wages and manpower to rollback the error and reverse everything that happened in the bug window and re-instate shards to be opened with the non bugged crystals against what is (more than) adequate compensation without costing kabam loads in various different resources.

^^^ NOT EXPLOITATION (I acknowledge that in the period between the first announcement and the fix there probably was exploitation, knowing that compensation was coming!)

Coliseum Issue = Kabam made clear the rules that a champ can be used only once and not repeated on podiums BUT people chose to ignore the rules and, in this case, knowingly exploited the multiple use of same champs who performed well therefore scoring more points than others and subsequently gaining an unfair advantage.
