Re: Coliseum Strategy
Far too grindy and time-consuming. On top of that, it gets boring quickly. Doing the same fight over and over again against the same opponent… landing a few hits, dodging Adam Warlock’s SP1, and then starting all over again.
That’s only fun for the first five minutes.
I’m not into it at all.
Re: Is it too late?
Dude... Get yourself a pair of sweats, unlimited ammounts of booze, buy yourself a mid life crisis car... You made it out, don't come backkkkkk
Re: Alliance Coliseum - is a massive, massive time suck
I did a few runs to see what it's like. Absolutely grindy and not fun. I'm not wasting any more of my time on this. If others want to, that's their life choice. But frankly, Kabam needs to evaluate their design decisions.
Re: Alliance Coliseum - is a massive, massive time suck
Honestly I'd love for them to just make nightmare raids a weekly thing. This coliseum mess is annoying, time consuming, and way too repetitive.
Re: Coliseum Strategy
While I've found this new mode quite enjoyable … OMG … to get the milestones, is an absolute grind!
I have a job and a family… Is there no thought about quality of life when designing these game modes?
Especially, when running these events side by side.
While focusing on trying to hit at least day 1 Colosseum targets, I've not done any Battleground fights and completely missed that AW has started. Let alone starting to look at monthly event quests and the associated planning spreadsheets. Oh and there is an Incursions event as well. And being FTP, I have no time to grind arena to earn some extra units for banquet.
I appreciate, that theoretically, we can "space things out" and do the content in our own time. But isn't there a 2* event coming next week. And then something else…
Yes, I can choose not to participate in some of the events that get released, but then that would mean I fall even further behind everyone else.
I love this game, but it dominates a large amount of my free time.
Quality of Life must be a consideration so that it doesn't burn people out.
Re: Coliseum Strategy
It seems like the real strategy is to just not play the mode because it's way too grindy and too much of a time sink due to the podium level system.
Also, some decisions made here baffle me aside from the podium leveling.
Why was Adam Warlock chosen for the debut? He is notoriously annoying to fight and his AI has alway been bad on defense. You need him to throw Sp1's because his Sp2 takes way too long but he has power gain and due to the AI refuses to throw specials. It's a horrible experience. I can't believe people sat down and decided Adam to be the boss seriously.
Also why on earth would you decide for the FIRST TAGS fo this debut to limit the pool to Northstar and Gentle? It makes absolutely 0 sense for a debut. It almost feels like you all wanted to make this the worst experience possible for everybody and for the mode to flop.
The first triple tag should have been higher-tier, better-performing, and more commonly ranked-up champions to ease players into the mode for their first time.
It doesn't matter if this is high tier content. You don't need to start at 100. You could have started at 50 and made this better for everyone and yourselves. In most cases, with new features no company would ever decide to dump everything on their customers at once in such a bad way like this.
Re: Colloseum would be a great mode IF podiums were removed.
If you are talking about the level 1, level 2 and so on then one hundred percent.
Reward skill and not grind/whaling.
But that's gonna happen? Absolutely not.
I got ~430k score without multiplier on all there podiums but my level is 1.
So I just have to keep grinding mindlessly?
I dont find this fun one bit.
