Re: Underlying all of this..Kabam remains Kabam
As a beneficiary of this comp, I will be excited to receive it, but even in bringing that idea forth at the beginning I was saying it would be ridiculous. With this comp, I will have the chance to add up to 1,000 sig levels, which is ridiculous especially when you consider the prestige implications that can have for rewards down the road.
The fairest comp, which hardly would've taken more work since they're counting crystals anyway, would simply be to send everyone a selector of those champs (selectors that already exist so they wouldn't have to build them) and then an additional selector for every 10 affected crystals that were opened. Fair, balanced, minimal impact. While I'm looking forward to having another 53 crystals to open, I fully understand that this is far from the most wise solution.
Underlying all of this..Kabam remains Kabam
1) Another basic error. No one expected perfection, but they can’t even populate a crystal pool correctly still in 2025 (almost 2026) And it has MASSIVE implications with the amount of shards hoarded.
2) Kabam’s error necessarily brings harm. At baseline, you either harm those affected by giving them no comp, harm the rest of us by giving an insane comp with all the benefits of 7 star crystals (sigs, titan shards, etc) to a subset of players, or they harm themselves by providing just compensation and suffering item devaluation for a bit by making sure all summoners don’t feel wronged. Or they harm themselves by devoting time to an equitable comp that takes effort.
And this last one is the problem. You made the mistake Kabam. Not people opening early, and not those opening later. You did. And you are taking the lazy way out while making sure your sales and items don’t lose value to the detriment of us.
Please just quit preaching about all the changes you plan to make, how you want to hear from us, how previous bugs are unexceptable, etc. It’s still the same old Kabam method. No consistency, no testing, not effort, and no actual responsibility taken. Someone has to pay the consequences for your mistakes.…. But we know it will always be the summoners.
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
It's really unfair. The extra amount of titan shards and sig level is massive, especially for those who have opened many crystals.
Re: Seatin rippin you a new option.
I’m trying to follow the plot but every time you post it feels like I’ve entered a different timeline. If Seatin is ripping anything it’s probably his hair out trying to understand this.
Re: Basic compensation should be equivalent to ZOLA Titan compensation
Lol like people didn't see the champs weren't in the crystals, it's laughable. They took advantage of a situation and now it's gonna pay off pretty big for them. I think my time with this game has reached it's end
So you do this big compensation but didn’t do a big one for Zola compensation?
Kinda insane you let the titan Zola compensation continue multiple days but this compensation.
I opened alotnof crystals for both….
Don’t think I made the cutoff for the BOTCHED 7* rollover basic

Anyways HUGE WIN for those effected and getting
ACTUAL,ACTUAL compensation
People opening 20+ crystals and get compensation is really insane, but just because I barely missed it I don’t get it?
I opened 22 7* BASICS
And this is what we get lol, a joke of a response
Kabam says they care but fix this asap and give crazy compensation for those who got it in this tiny window.
kinda insane what just happened and regardless another reason this company just doesn’t care 🤣
Compensation "idea"
This way if you were going to get a new champion you get it and you keep your other pull from before but if you were going to get a champion from the old pool, you already did, so now you just get 1 gold and you don't get an unfair advantage.
Just some thoughts, don't even know if it's doable.
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
There are two groups of summoners (obviously more than that but for this instance we’ll focus on the two types) 1. Summoners who KNEW it was a bug and rushed to open everything thus exploiting the bug for the compensation. 2. Summoners who KNEW it was a bug and decided to WAIT for the bug to be fixed, thus NOT exploiting the bug for compensation.
Now the biggest and most obvious issue I have is that Kabam announced that there was a bug and compensation would be inbound for anyone who opened. This message went out before the fix was pushed, so there was a window of opportunity and summoners had to make a choice. Many opted to open, but man (like myself) fall into category 2. Where we feel like idiots, because we KNEW the crystal was bugged and we KNEW we’d be compensated if we opened but we STILL chose to hold until the fix. How does this NOT encourage me to exploit known bugs in the future? I understand that many opened without knowing, but we can’t ignore the people that opened only AFTER seeing Kabams announcement about it being bugged and compensation incoming. I just feel like an idiot man, it’d be different if Kabam didn’t tip the community on the compensation before the fix was pushed.I would still be annoyed, but I wouldn’t feel so gutted for not exploiting the bug. I guess that was my opportunity, idk, I just decided to not exploit it for whatever compensation they came up with. Obviously if I knew that I’d be doubling my crystals then I would’ve opened without second thought. It just rubs me the wrong way. Announce the bug sure, but don’t announce compensation before the bug is fixed. Don’t create a situation where summoners now have to choose between exploiting a bug for compensation and waiting for a fix to receive nothing. I’m sure a majority of people would chose the exploit, especially if we know there aren’t any consequences. After a decade of playing this game, I think it’s about time I hang it up.
Re: Shame on you Kabam
So you’re telling me that just because I work at an 8-5 treating patients and am not able to open the crystals right when the pool changes, I’m missing out on double 7 stars? That is absolutely insane.
I opened up 26 crystals right after I got off work in the car before I drove home. I didn’t check the forums, didn’t check YouTube, and because of this, had no idea of the issue. This is a gigantic L for Kabam and an even sillier response. How do you have such a good response for the Zola comp, opening it for the majority of the community, and absolutely toss a grenade on your community with this response…If you truly care about community sentiment and “game balance”, this needs to change
@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex I think y’all should really reconsider how you are approaching this comp. This is setting a bad precedent moving forward.
Re: Shame on you Kabam
so the community has to get huge uproar
for kabam to do something
that’s the ONLY way we can make change lol.
What a bone headed decision,
told yall after that whole fake summoners appreciation/fest or whatevr
they continue to disappoint us
