Here’s the thing if the meta were entirely RNG, your win rate would be a coinflip, 50%, and you would progress eventually. The issue here is you don’t have a broad enough roster of champions that can handle the nodes, so you’re going in with not enough offensive picks in your deck.

You're right in the title, it's more than skill. It also heavily depends on your roster and on match up system they have. And that's about it. Whatever ai issue you have, your opponent has the same (except some cheaters, but I don't think there are many)

They dont have all cheater names.Kabam bans in waves. There's no automated system that autobans people in BGs.So...
You can report them with the button in game.

What they have are names, their actions in the game will be scrutinized before banning them.
Pausers are not cheaters. They don't care about pausers atm.

The past 6 or so seasons I’ve made it into gladiators circuit within 2 weeks with little to no effort. So you can imagine my surprise when bgs is almost over and I am still in vibranium. Now I’m not MSD but I’m certainly good at this game especially when it comes to battlegrounds. I just poured 2 hours and 30 minutes into playing battlegrounds and I started playing today in vibranium 3, you know where I am at the end of that 2 hours and 30 minutes. STILL IN VIBRANIUM 3. And it’s not like I’m 1 game away, I have 1 MEDAL. There seriously is something wrong with the way the AI works in this game, but even more so the META that Kabam chose for this season. I was up against a kindred and I was using onslaught, I did a heavy attack and he blocked it. (He didnt have a resist buff) he just blocked both hits somehow. ALSO, why is it only SCIENCE and deathless champions that we can use. There are 300 CHAMPS in the game and this meta has shrunk the useful ones down to a handful. Most players are struggling to rank up because instead of battlegrounds being a test of skill and strategic thinking, it’s just become a test of RNG and just praying you get the 6 champs in your deck that work well with the node. The meta just isn’t fair for anyone even those with MASSIVE decks. Y’all gotta give some sort of compensation for this miserable excuse of a bgs season. 0 fun whatsoever.You should separate the paragraphs, this kind of writes are boring to read, at least for me.

It would only be a ‘skill issue’ if there were no external sources impacting gameplay. Since THERE IS for example the extremely rng based meta it’s a little more than just a skill issue isn’t it. Even if it was a skill issue, I’m still 1000% certain that anyone after playing for almost 3 hours would rank up, but between the horrible meta and horrible AI it’s made bgs almost insufferable. Anyone who disagrees simply doesn’t play it enough

50% is too big of a nerf. Please consider making it 75%.
I kinda agree that they're overpowered, getting more power back than you actually used (many times that beeing bad), but a 50% return is not enough
