Balance Team here again with an update on the latest round of Champions up for review, Falcon (Joaquin Torres) and Arnim Zola!
Falcon (Joaquin Torres)
The Battlerealm’s newest Falcon in Joaquin Torres was designed to be a well-rounded Attacker, using a wide range of Debuffs to mitigate incoming Damage, counter his Opponent’s threats and enhance his damage output. While his kit features 2 distinct modes to choose from, Joaquin Torres thrives once he reaches Peak Performance, allowing him to benefit from both his Offensive and Defensive themed modes at the same time. Equipped with a few abilities targeted at annoying Mystic opponents (Slow, Debilitate, replacing the Precision Buff from Dexterity with a Trauma Pause), we’re happy to see his matchup spread reflect his targets, albeit with varying performance depending on the game mode. While Falcon’s performance is in a good spot in Quests with longer encounters and a wide range of opponents, we’re seeing Falcon struggle to get his loop going in encounters with shorter runway and higher pressure (e.g. Battlegrounds), and will be looking to make changes to address this. Changes incoming for Joaquin!Arnim Zola
Arnim Zola entered the contest armed with a new spin on Tech Power Control with his combo of Special Lock and Combat Power Reduction, while also leveraging damage mitigation and loop disruption as his core Defensive identity. In PvP modes, Arnim Zola has landed and continued to make an impact as a powerful stall threat, with one of the highest average Defending fight times in Battlegrounds across recent seasons. Since release, we’ve seen summoners adapt to Arnim Zola’s unique defensive kit with a variety of strategies, and are happy with his impact on the meta. As an Attacker, the burst of Direct Damage granted by his Signature Ability has proven to be an important piece to his Damage reach, and is overall in a healthy range for a kit that heavily leans on Damage Mitigation and Power Control. Overall we’re happy with how Zola has landed and will not be making any changes to his kit! What’s Next
Falcon (Joaquin Torres) will be a part of Batch Update #2 - slated for our 54.1 (January) build! So far, the 2 confirmed Champions in Batch #2 are:
- Vision (Deathless)
- Falcon (Joaquin Torres)
- Champion TBD

Re: July Side Quest - Fantastic Force Recruitment Squad Builder
Guess I’m against the grain, but I hate this mode. My only goal is to place top 50%, and honestly it’s entirely up to RNG. Played it probably 40 times and my lord it’s boring.
It’s all just luck of the draw, with the addition of boring, unchallenging fights in between what actually matters. I know fighting is the core of the game, but just get rid of it here

I've spent all my units (7.5K) on The Maker crystals and haven't got the 7*
Lol...
Had to get it out.

Re: New mode is set up ****
As someone who doesn't like this mode. I absolulte disagree with this rant post.
Re: Rank 4s have killed WhaleGrounds
Welcome to the new Kabam ftp Whale Watching game. Spend energy to potentially see a whale. Look at their full roster. If they have around 20 rank 4s then congrats you have seen the blubberiest whale in the game. If they have 10 it's a medium whale. You can tell by the end, or tail of their roster. The whale tail tells you how big a whale you spotted.
Once you've done watching the whale you caught you can let it go by exiting in the top left of the screen.
Be warned summoner, occasionally you catch a fellow tiny ftp fish. Feel free to fight amongst yourselves if you want. Then continue your whale watching adventures!

Re: Alliance War: Time to Switch to a 30-Node Map
Does it matter? For example, removing the full path 6, removing the first boss island, removing second part of path 1 and path 9, this is already 11 nodes. I can find 9 more easily but I don't get paid for any design work, I just give my feedback, you don't have to like it, and it doesn't matter whether you like it or notok, so which 20 nodes would you remove?their map design is very intentional and they expect players to manage specific path identities and interactions. removing 20 nodes would take that away, and they would probably have to make the remaining nodes harder to makeup for it.They designed map before adding a dozen of top defenders to the game right? This is the whole point.
also which nodes or paths would you remove?
If you remember, a month ago they removed 40 nodes and quite a few people enjoyed it.
Again, this is not rocket science, this is just a mobile game, changing something wouldn't blow up the world, I don't know why you are so defensive.
Re: A not so appreciation post of new SQ event
Test your FOMO, i decided I rather use my energy to farm units in lower EQ
Re: July Side Quest - Fantastic Force Recruitment Squad Builder
This feels like the mini games in RPGs like Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws or Machine Strike in the Horizon games. It’s completely novel and unrelated to anything else in the game. I’m going to obsess over it for a short period of time and get bored with it quickly.I think this is a great comparison (especially cause I enjoy those mini games haha). I can say that this mode is not a permanent edition, its just this months side quest. It may (likely will) return in the future in some form, with a twist or change or update, but its not a permanent mode. Whole point is to add some variety/change of pace, making it permanent would probably hurt those efforts haha.
As much as the side quests have been hit or miss lately, that at least related to your skill at playing the game.
I think many of the people asking that this mode be made permanent will regret it after grinding the mode month after month when the novelty wears off.
Re: July Side Quest - Fantastic Force Recruitment Squad Builder
My only complaint is that it would be nice if there was some concrete value in grinding like battle chips. I think it’s an enjoyable change of pace, but grinding on end like I might for arenas, just praying that I’m grinding harder than 99% of the rest of the player base is going to burn me out on it pretty quick.
Re: Rank 4s have killed WhaleGrounds
why are you busting out photos of my acc in 2020You're one to talk eh.Wow that flew right over your head twice...It's almost as if he doesn't complain about whales in BGs twice a week right?Wow that flew right over your headDid someone attack my battlegrounds!!!!!! GRRRRR 😡 I SPENT all this money to beat the Free2Peons, clearly you just suck at the game unlike ME!!!!. How will I have FUN in the game if I can't spend money to WIN!!!!! Clearly it's a SKILL ISSUE!!!! that you don't want to spend hundreds every year just to even have a chance at competing with pro players such as myself...The fact that you complain so much about proves you're not a pro player either lmfao get off your high horse.
Do you think I should rank this guy for BGs?
