That seems likely. And it makes it interesting. They only have a live replay because they wanted to give their community around the globe the opportunity to earn the drops, so they really only got in trouble for trying to benefit the players. Puts the complaining in a different light.

Twitch drops are meant to be rewards for engaging with a livestream and streamer. Not for someone to get whenever they feel like it. So honestly good on twitch for enforcing this because the restreams were dumb

Good morning folks, as was mentioned earlier, is this where I say banned for no reason?

But yea, just a one day temp ban, we're looking options to see if we can appeal and what we'll do when its up. As several folks noted the restreams are purely to try and help folks in different time zones or who may have had other commitments (or understandably can't dedicated 12 hours over the weekend to watching) to get the rewards. To counter the claim, it doesnt actually help our metrics at all (long watchtime, low participation and lower than average viewership vs our actual livestreams. We don't make ad revenue or anything from Twitch so theres not a financial incentive to do it, just a community sentiment one).

On the topic of 12 hours, in isolation its a lot for one thing for sure, but the idea is that there were rewards every 2-3 hours of watchtime (and several in the first 3 hours). So while the Titan is obviously the big prize at the end, the way we viewed it when building is that it was more like watch two mroe hours from your last prize to get to a Titan. I understand that has not landed with everyone and I can understand your perspective, but hopefully can see where we were coming from in the drop campaign design.

Ultimately this is the biggest live event and biggest stream event we've ever done, so definitely lots of lessons to take onboard for the future, but think despite that it was still fun time.

I feel for kabam here tbh.. They only did the replays for the community this was in no way advantageous for them, All those shouting for compensation are just as bad! Everyone who uses twitch knows they have to be LIVE to get rewards I’ve never seen a game do replays in the 15 yrs I’ve been on there. so instead of launching into kabam we should be supporting them!

Who told them to have unreasonable watchtimes like 12 hours for getting a titan when not a single one of the livestreams had even close to that duration?

This was deliberately done to increase engagement and views.

They got banned for view farming

Being worked on now, it takes a pretty long time to download and set up 8+ hours of video for 24/7 restreaming - I'll send a poke out when it's up and ready
