Re: onslaught change
If this isn't a clear mistake that gets immediately resolved. And not in the "future". It's starting to look like a lot of intentional bugs. They have been trying to lower the ceiling on Champs and increase the floor on others. Kingpin, hulkling, Valk.. Onslaught. I'm fairly confident even when they do "fix" a couple of those, that they will not end up the same as before due to it "conflicting with too many other parts of the game". Honestly this company is very very hard to trust. You can be sure that bugs that make Champs better, they will surely not remain keeping them with increased dmg. But you can't have that same confidence when it comes to the other direction.
Just feels too easy to change how things work in order to suit their agenda of limiting Champs they feel excel a little too much for their liking.
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
The outcome is based on the lack of parameters you gave the AI to produce the text. I assure you that if you told the AI you are an alternative route TB and your prestige was almost 4x lower than top players the result would have been a lot different and humble.
Re: onslaught change
Someone will be here shortly with "We never do silent nerf guys". 🙄
Re: onslaught change
Yeah hold on this is real. They totally did change Daunted’s interaction with Protection. Just tested it. Used to be able to plow through DThanos’s Protection using Onslaught’s Daunted, now he’s shut out.
For those uninitiated, Daunted used to stack additively with Protection effects, rather than being a separate multiplier. For example, say an opponent has 90% Protection but 50% total Daunted potency. Instead of 100% (base) - 90% (Protection) = 10% damage taken, and then Daunted multiplies that by 1.5 to 15% during Specials (still bad), it’d be 100% (base) - 90% (Protection) + 50% (Daunted) = 60% damage during Specials (way better).
Why wasn’t this in the patch notes? This is a fairly big change. Onslaught (and other Daunted champs) really benefitted from this mechanic, if this was gonna be changed it should have been communicated. Besides DThanos, I used this mechanic to beat down Destroyers in War on the Protection - Intercept node, since Onslaught largely didn’t care if he couldn’t safely disable the Protection.
Re: The Dancing Minigame has been made 1000x better with the omission of the swiping enemies
1000x better and it still sucks…. Math
Re: Can the Destroyer fight next week not be annoying?
A root node on Destroyer when he uses sp1 would actually be helpful to us as it makes it easier to dex each part of the special, thus reducing the charges he gains.
Re: Can the Destroyer fight next week not be annoying?
Destroyer will most absolutely be horrible. Root, unstoppable, indestructible, increased power gain
Re: Can the Destroyer fight next week not be annoying?
the difference between hard and annoying:
Hard: takes time to learn, skill required, but when you get it, it feels SO rewarding
Annoying: the difference between success and failure lies largely in what the defender decides to do. One run it’s easier, the next, nothing works because the AI won’t play ball. You finish the content but feel like all you accomplished was faceplowing until you get favorable AI.
crossbones and arcade definitely fall in the annoying category.
Re: Can the Destroyer fight next week not be annoying?
Didn't see anyone mention the AI. We've normalized it, i guess? Just used to AI doing crazy stuff.
