IMO, they did it right with necropolis…. Arguably the worst summoner was the best summoner. It brought the community together, self deprecating and gallows humor flowed, and we all got a bunch of great stuff.

Do the Relic Rebirth Milestones REQUIRE unit spend?

To clarify, can a dev confirm that it is impossible to reach the rebirth token in the relic rebirth event without spending units? And, knowing this, they chose to make it an alliance event with no forewarning preventing people from at least being able to shuffle around to spending alliances for the event or be punished for being one of a handful of people with the units behind to participate?

Moreover, the relic shards kabam has been dumping on us with no updates for 3 years also have no value in this event? All this while kabam had no intention of ever revitalizing the original pool making them doubly useless.

Finally, because kabam still has no creativity in terms of making the relics desirable as a tool, they instead opted to completely reorganize how prestige then tie that prestige directly to reward output to force the collection of more of them?

Tldr for a dev response:

1) Can we reach the token in the alliance event without spending units
2) Were legacy shards supposed to be excluded from the point tabulation?
3) Did the thinly veiled attempt at remonetizing relics while addressing literally none of the substance that wrote them off in the first place really require 3 years?

Who even said anything about F2P? You don’t even know my spending habits on the game or my prestige. I simply said that rosters/decks are going to look extremely generic. You’re actually making my point by saying, “the game is designed on rewarding progress.” Logically people are going to lean towards more prestige champions because that’s the progress that’s rewarded. Once again, I don’t know why you even brought money into the conversation. You went on a total tirade about F2P versus P2W and it wasn’t even a point of my argument. Jesus.

Kabam can paywall the entry to story content and some people would still repeat "nobody is forcing you to play, there's never too much monetization, if frustrated you can just quit" and stuff. I can wish for a better life from God but for some reason I'm not allowed to wish for a better game from Kabam cause its already perfect according to these people.

Kabam is keeping the lights on for whales first and foremost. All the increasedly desperate ways of monetization give back nothing in return to the players but we are expected to applaud them for their efforts to make the game a better place for the whales to spend harder.

I'd go on but I'd get banned as I already got myself a warning for my comment on a similar post on the same topic for telling it as is. Its ok, I'll also quit soon and leave this mess behind. Its not the same game I used to enjoy and seems that there's no turning back at this point.

I am in a top 5 AQ alliance and I can tell you first hand that the mood is now very bleak since the change to prestige calculations was announced. Quite a few are already wanting out and have asked us to find members to replace them, they are done with the game completely. And many others have also said they will no longer be apart of the prestige race. The recent changes/additions to the top 5 prestige champs already had many stressed when they couldn’t find the champs required despite spending allot of money. And now this. These are guys that have played together form many years that will likely have to now part company.

So with 30 champs soon affecting prestige, plus the new relics also affecting prestige, most are just over the constant money grab. We are talking about some of the bigger spenders in the game. The changes are coming too fast with no time to settle in between.

I get they need to make money, but I can see them also losing money here. I know they are losing players as I can see it happening first hand, and these players are spenders. I guess if the move brings different spenders to replace the leaving ones then the change worked, but I just don’t see it honestly.
