Eh you can look at it that way, or you can look at it as if someone from the company told him that he had a place of privilege being in the CCP and needs to stop uploading negative content. Based on the fact that he won't be attending the live event you can assume something pissed him off.

Kabam's latest MCOC Dev Diary on Spider-Woman is basically a masterclass in deflection, gaslighting, and never taking responsibility. The Kabam Special™. We've seen it a million times: hype up an OP attacker, cash in, then gut them once the sales numbers stop ringing. Spoiler alert: Karolina and Nico, you’re up next.
And really, how hard is this?
- Attacker → Ensnare ON (maybe even as a pre-fight ability?)
- Defender → Ensnare OFF
Rocket science? No. But hey, honesty isn't really Kabam's strong suit, is it? Let's call it what it is: they don't want her strong offensively either. Can't say it out loud, of course, so we get this song-and-dance "adjustment."
"Spider-Woman on node 42 is terrifying!" Oh please. That's only a Tier 1 headache, and it's not even the ensnare that's the main problem - it's the fumble. Meanwhile Enchantress, Serpent, Bullseye wreck half the player base daily, but sure, let's go after SW because… reasons. Truth is, she makes a mockery of their "unbeatable" defender kits - Dark Phoenix's immortality, Serpent's death immunity, Bullseye's evade, the works. And Kabam's fragile egos just can't handle that level of versatility.
They sold us Spider-Woman on the strength of ensnare, then pretend she suddenly "needs balancing." Please. What she really does is break their carefully scripted "buy the new champ to counter the new problem we just invented" cycle. Can't have an older champ shutting down their next cash cow, right?
At the end of the day, I don't think it's Spider-Woman that needs rebalancing - it's Kabam.

I think I've finally worked out why I am so upset about SW.
Now, why am I so upset about this nerf? At first I thought it was just the fact that I had spent money on this character and that I was just very hard to swallow the idea of what I paid for is not what I got. Now, this is a completely legitimate complaint but, for myself personally, when I work out the cause of a problem, I start to move forward and what I found was this rationale simply did not calm my mind and every day I was still the same level of indignant if not more. With the dev diary release though I think I have figured it out.
I believe the reason I am so upset by all of this is, they are clearly lying and gaslighting as a response (I know people have said this, but sometimes I need to get there myself to really get something). Not a single person, maybe past the first week or two said Spider-women was too OP on defense and needed a nerf, no one. Yet, since day one, and still to this day, people are asking for Serpent to be nerfed. This Spider-women situation has nothing to do with her defensive capabilities it has everything to do with her offensive capabilities and this gaslighting that it is not is just really bothering me.
If they had just said, she is too strong on attack, or that ensnare is just too OP, we have to take it off because she's K.O'd too many Serpents and its just not what we can tolerate, I'd be upset for sure but I'd get over it. This gaslighting, acting like Spiderwoman is to toxic on defense and that Kabam cares about defense in any way shape or form (Enchantress, Serpent, Dark Pheonix, Yuelana etc) is just nonsense and insulting. I think I'm so angry about this because I think they insulted our intelligence, and I think I took that personally.
In any case, it is what it is. I do appreciated the Dev Diaries and Kabam Rex was super nice to comment a few times on my post (Its definitely not there fault, Rex, Pinwheel there great). I think its also important to mention that, its not a full reversal or, what would prove me wrong and that is keeping ensnare on attack, but at least they were willing to do something and show they to listen. I just think in the end, this was absolutely terrible for the game. I feels completely like the precedence going forward is that if there is any champion that provides any sort of genuine upper hand, they are immediately going to be nerfed, and our rational is going to look you point blank and say, its for the health of the game and your best player experience. Toxic dudes.

One of two things will happen - Kabam will have the worst Cyber Week sale in the history of the game as a result of both sale fatigue and the game's performance over the last year, or the offers will be so good that people will become blind to what Kabam has been doing and feel compelled to spend more than they'd be willing to admit.

It's great until you realize he's just 1 guy yapping biased information. He isn't making kabams or karatemikes job easier by doing that. He's making it infinitely harder

I would understand if Spiderwoman was so over power as a defender but this isn't even close to need a nerf. The Kabam rating as so many have pointed out doesn't always make sense. I'm pretty sure nobody thought that hey I think the Spiderwoman shouldn't have the one extra untility of ensnare cause that makes her so overpowered for offense. This is strictly a Kabam looking at their data and saying you know what Spiderwoman will hurt future champ sales with this one utility. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.
