Re: Double drop compensation
Those that got it more than twice were a fraction of those who got it twice. Made this decision to make things right for the most people as quickly as we could because, as folks in this thread have rightfully pointed out, this isnt something we could just stay radio silent on
Re: Double drop compensation
You need to treat everyone equally. Full stop.
By this post, you’re admitting you know people received comp more than twice. This tells me you can verify the maximum number of comp packages any one player received. So to be fair each player needs the same number comp packages - either by adding the proper packages to each player or subtracting from those or both. Bringing most, but not all of the players, to the maximum number doesn’t treat all players equally. Simply calling it “close enough” is lazy and goes against the promise from the stream of “doing better”. You caused the problem. Do the work to fix it correctly.
You may not realize it but right now, Kabam is playing with fire. I’m in a top 3 prestige alliance - spenders all of us. We’ve numerous members ready to quit because we are not in the mood to work (read spend) that much harder to catch up in prestige bc Kabam gave extra relics and sig stones to some players and not others risks, and then was too lazy to fix the problem less than twelve hours after promising to do better. @KabamPinwheel
Re: The Blubberiest Whale in the Ocean
the never ending irony of you complaining about complaining multiple times a day makes me wonder why you never take your own scuffed advice…
Re: The Blubberiest Whale in the Ocean
Excellent post!
To be more effective and to get truly heard I believe all top 100 alliances ( where am sure all the whales reside) need to unite and take collective decisions or at least issue collective statements towards Kabam. I believe the pre 12.0 boycot was also initiated by top alliances and supported by pretty much everyone.
PS:
Came back to the forums after I watched @TheKiryu Video on YT. Funny to see that after so many years the same kabam knights / employees (or whatever u wanna call them ) are still here jumping on each post that speaks against kabam anti-gamer policies!
Re: The Blubberiest Whale in the Ocean
what a banger of a post. Angus you made my day. Even the Kabam shills/ forum warriors made my day. So thanks Demonzfyre and groundedwisdom as well. Keep on shilling and maybe one day you can be a moderator 😂
Re: Bye bye Special 3 on Battlegrounds 🥳 Just skip
I was excited of this update but no longer after you took claim for it.
Re: Double drop compensation
Looks like they’ll be sending another package out to those that didn’t have an error. But it doesn’t address those that got it three times.
Re: The Blubberiest Whale in the Ocean
Anyone that thinks this is about SW is totally missing the point.
Funny to see white knights called out for their behaviour. Must have been great for Kabam to use them for free to put down community members that speak about something they don't agree with or that goes against the Kabam strategy. No wonder they get forum or Discord roles, saving Kabam having to pay someone to do their job.
My thanks to each and every whale for keeping the lights on and the hamsters fed. I hate being matched with you in ranked content, but ultimately this is a game business model designed to give those that spend an advantage, so I need to find my peaceful place somewhere between the FTP and dolphins. It's the main reason why players burn out and retirement alliances are on the constant rise.
Now about rebalancing programmes of champs, the key issue is that Kabam decided to make a service model where new champs can be purchased early, hence moving away from a chance based model where you spend in hope of pulling champ to an outright purchase of a product. This is a significant legal change, and one that caused many other FTP games with micro transactions create the golden rule that sold premium items cannot be nerfed. Once you sell a product and advertise its features, consumer law dictates you cannot remove those features without due compensation or the possibility of refund to those that purchased it. Imagine buying a car advertised to reach 300 mph, only to have an update to the ECU force applied to restrict the maximum speed to 200. You can argue all you like that the speed is excessive and it's dangerous, but you advertised it as being able to do that speed, so you need to be prepared to issue a refund to those that purchased it for that reason. Kabam knew the risks when they made early access a purchase option for new champs, and frankly, if they don't, they need to consider investing in a legal team.
Hopefully the white knights won't chase me as usual, because if their intention is to drown out opinions that are different to the ones from Kabam they are clearly not succeeding any more even if they have succeeded for many years until now.
I don't expect anyone from Kabam to read this or care for what I have to say, but @AngstyAngus deserves the appreciation for speaking for the masses, even if his dong is massive and he was not afraid to swing it around while speaking for us.
Re: Ungodly/occult DOT effect champ
Really!? It's a mobile game. Nothing more, nothing less. There are 666 other things to complain about.
