Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
I'm pretty sure I remember someone asking how to avoid burn out and the response was "you don't need to do everything." Now Kabam is literally trying to force you to do everything. This isn't the same game that I enjoyed years ago and it makes me sad to see where we are at.I was just thinking about the same thing.
It has been almost 3 days since the event started, and having to win 3 games in Battlegrounds can take way too much time. It can take up to two hours every two days, just to win those 3 games.
The opponents i get matched with are way too strong for my account.
I know some would come and say: "Wait 1-2 weeks so that the whales move into the Gladiator Circuit", but that would mean to miss out on around 10,000 Fest points.
Would it not be better if we would only have to complete 3 games, instead of 3 wins every two days?
Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
We shouldve been told earlier that alliance raids would have the majority of the points not everyone's in an alliance or does raids

Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
1. Lack of communication about the point structure that previously has always been made in advance.
2. Ranking rewards only available to spenders.
3. Top milestones only available to players in the alliances that do raids (10%). Add to this lack of communication about that in advance.
4. Heavy grind for two months straight.
5. Stepping out of declared narrative "play the game modes you are interested in" to "you must do everything".
6. The reward structure made the way that all the real rewards are in the top milestones.
7. Almost no space for a mistake - miss a single thing over 2 months and you are out of top milestones.
8. Multiple bugs in the first week of the event contributing to making that "single" mistake.
9. etc
If the game team was aiming to make the most frustrating realm event in the history of MCoC they have accomplished a tremendous success.

Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
This event has far too many of the good rewards at the 285k milestone. It’s giving me so much fomo, I hate it. Horrible design for a lengthy event.
My alliance runs regular raids any not nightmare raids. If we fail to complete once or I miss a single BGs objective, I’m cooked. Ridiculous.

7* awakening gems class crazy chance
How is that even possible - 5 mutant awakening gems in a row(placed one on Dazzler)? What are the chances! Option to change awakening gems should be available!

Re: Valiant EQ is disgusting
On mid-map boss swap, you can take two lower rarity champions along with the "real" champ and take them to full health by using L1 or L2 potions. After I realized the gimmick, I would just take one “real” champ for the mid-map boss and then two random schmucks. If your primary champ gets knocked out, you are going to have to spend a revive on the next section of the map, even if you use a second or third champ to finish off the mid-map boss. So better to just revive the champ you know is best for the boss fight instead of using an alternate champ.I was a bit confused on the first quest, as I got to the selector node before 2nd Psycho Man, and threw Knull, Venom, and Scream (for the 2 spideys afterwards) into my team, fought Psycho Man, then immediately had to switch all 3 champs out again despite not using Venom/Scream. Like, what's the point? Do I really need to add 2 synergies to the one champ I'm going to fight with?Ok, I was just looking at a youtube run and couldn't understand that "design choice," so I guess it's just a trap to get us to use one champ but eliminate two more.
Can anyone tell me if you can use different rareties of the same champ?
Like if I use a 7* Bullseye, can I then also use 6* Bullseye later, or will it not let me?
Bad design all around. Seems like the SQ team was given a shot at the big time with monthly EQ.
Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
But if you want to become FIDE world chess champion you still actually have to play chess and win.In whatever circles you roam, I believe you. Including the fact you probably shout it out loud while you're typing it.I'm sorry but if there's NO way you can place #1 without having to spend, it's called a PAY TO WIN event. They are unobtainable even if you do pay, unless you also basically do everything. Normally the term pay to win refers to games where either whomever pays the most wins, or spending offers an overwhelming advantage compared to everything else. But that's not really true here, except in an essentially unrealistic extreme. Spending offers an advantage between two players who otherwise are tied in all other respects, but having an advantage between two competitors who otherwise do exactly the same things equally well is not pay to win, that is literally all competitions. There are ranked rewards, which will be unobtainable unless you payI wouldn't call it pay to win. Sure, spending could be a tie breaker for points, but if you don't do everything, especially Raids, no amount of spending is going to catch you up.There are 300,000 total earnable points, so yes you can reach the top milestone, even if you miss a few.Why do you make everything p2w?
Well, technically speaking $24,000 USD might catch you up. But even among the mega whales I suspect the number of people who will actually do that is very close to zero.
Since about a third of the realm points are in Raids, and my alliance doesn't do raids (much less Nightmare Raids which seems to be required to cap out the milestones) I'm basically out of it. But the event is still giving me a ton of rewards for basically just playing the game more or less as I normally do, so I can't be too upset. I find it ... odd that there's so much emphasis on Raids given their presumptive optional nature - and the fact they are tied to alliances, meaning individual players cannot simply choose to do them just for the event - but I suppose Kabam has its reasons there.
I would call that pay to win
I come from the ancient generation of game players that did not just make up new meanings for words to justify their use. Once upon a time, calling this situation "pay to win" would have gotten you laughed off the discussion boards. Of course, that was back when literacy was almost a prerequisite to even get on the internet, since you needed to at least be able to read instructions to do so.
By the way, there is literally no possible avenue by which a Chess player can become the FIDE world champion without spending money. Therefore, Chess is a pay to win competition.
We all play the game on a mobile phone or now PC. So we have spent money to be able to play the game, as chess players spend money to be able to play and compete. But in chess, as far as I’m aware they don’t buy the equivalent of an Odin and which then means they beat Magnus Carlson. You would actually have to play and beat him with skill.
I can get every point available in the game, but will come second to someone who pays for an Odin. I’m not sure that’s how it works in chess.
I think people would have so much of an issue, if spending money provided a leg up in grinding for points. At least they then have to play and it involves some type of skill. It’s the direct spend money get points with no grind, no effort that I think people are annoyed about. It’s basically turned the rank rewards into a sale event.

Re: Dfficulty of July Events
OP, do you realize that we have been asking for a Valiant EQ for years? Which means we have been Paragon and Valiant for a long time to put together strong rosters to be able to do this type of content. You became Valiant recently, at some point you will be able to beat it easily.
Re: Battlegrounds

Re: VALIANT EVENT QUEST - CHECK IN!
