People asked for “fair match ups.” They got them.

It also happened more or less exactly how I said it would happen:

• You aren’t going to be getting competitive rewards if you don’t actually compete for them.
• You will end up in an isolated part of the game mode protected from the main competition.
• You will hurt the players in lower progression tiers who actually want to compete.

Kabam didn’t do something “completely different.” They did what (some) players asked for. If anyone asked for it but can’t accept the consequences of that choice, that’s a them problem.

If someone didn’t ask for this and think there are deleterious consequences, blame the players who demanded it. Over and over and over and over and over for years with no regard for the practical realities of what they were asking for. I actually advocated against it, but at the end of the day it doesn’t really affect me much at all.

Ironic.

Oh, you want units placed somewhere "fun"?

Ok, we're updating incursions and making it much harder and we've put a few units in there but only at level 25. Now you have to spend 3-4hrs, possibly more, possibly failing and having to restart, and possibly using units on revives to be able to finish it for those units.

And we're also putting units in BGs too, but they start at 100 points in the gladiator circuit.

Was it worth it? Are you happy having to struggle grinding difficult modes for the same or less units? Or would you rather grind arena and not have to worry about nodes, champs, rankups, and abilities while on the ride to work or while watching TV?

Trust me, what we have now is MUCH better than the torture they would come up with if arena was deleted.

Well, it's standard for these collection 7*s. The part that makes me scratch my head is, the 6* piece is 10k Radiance, and you need to earn the 7* piece to get that. Lol.

Hey, those complainers need all the top champs in the game so they can grind arena and talk to each other about how much they miss playing the uncollected EQ.

For many players (maybe even most), the quick dopamine hit of getting rewards is the only point of the game. They're not interested in learning the champ kits, practicing fights, or anything else having to do with getting better at the game.

And I'm not saying that's a bad thing per se. Everyone is entitled to enjoy the game however they choose. But yes, the people who extend their dopamine preferences into then complaining about the game's PvP modes are less reasonable. It's an ugly look, for sure. And reveals a lot about their personal background.

That's trade off for not having to ramp for five minutes on the first fight, don't be so dense lol
