Christmas Eve update:

We got through the first three stretch milestones easily and are approaching milestone 23, the last milestone that was originally visible in the event. We should hit that in about an hour and a half at our current pace.

Our overall pace has slowed after the burst of sales activity, which is expected. We are still running slightly faster than last year, but not by the huge amounts on the 23rd. The next question is: how high can we go. Earlier I said that something between 6 billion and 6.5 billion was a reasonable guestimate, and extrapolating from the current data we're heading in the general direction of about 6.3 billion. What does that mean in terms of additional milestones?

The stretch milestones seem to be spaced 82 million points apart. If that pacing is maintained, 6.3 billion will land us around milestone 45. The very first stretch-stretch milestone was two T7 basics, so that's pretty good. However, the prerequisites for those stretch goals are also increasing by about 480 points per milestone. If that trend also continues, milestone 45 will have a prerequisite score of 36960. We'll have to see if the pacing stays constant and if prerequisite scores keep increasing with increasing milestones.
