The short time i was referring to was the change in top 5 prestige champs, that being the addition of dark phoenix, then shortly after that Yelena, then again high evolutionary. This required acquisition of three new champs, paid for, all with sig stones up to sig 200 and all to rank 4. This is quite a feat in such a short time. That, although tough and expensive, most were willing to accept the cost as we all enjoy playing together and want to continue building on what we have for the last few years. They have now quickly added new relics that also affect prestige, and now in a couple of months time, 30 champs that affect prestige. This is the “short time” I am referring to. It’s just too much to ask too quickly. And allot of players are over it.

Now again I am not saying Kabam is forcing any of us individually to chase these champs, but when you build something up over years with a team, changes like this in quick succession make it impossible for allot of players to keep up and ultimately force people out of the game. I am seeing this first hand. Now yes these people can just stop spending and chasing prestige, perhaps go to a smaller alliance and play the game at a more relaxed pace, but they lose their team mates and what they have help build over the years. And this is not an option for them. They just leave the game.

@GroundedWisdom so this guy typed 2 whole paragraphs about his own experience and shared his concerns of the social effects of the prestige change to give an emotionally honest outlook. Yet you chose to nitpick a single sentence, that is mostly irrelevant to the point he was making, to respond to? Just to ignore the rest of his comment and repeat "you're not forced to do anything" as per usual? And then we are expected to believe in your sincerity, correct?

No that’s not the way it’s always been. It’s been top 5, not top 30. Last I checked 30 is 6 times more than 5, simple math. Why do you even bother replying without any thought? Before top 5 wasn’t that big of a deal. Maybe some people had similar champs but now that it’s top 30, most rosters are going to be extremely generic. You know what the number 30 relates to in MCOC? BG deck. If everyone has top 30-35 champs ranked for prestige, can you imagine what all the BG decks and AW maps will look like? Think before you talk next time you decide to respond with some meaningless “that’s how it’s always been”. Actually add to the conversation.

It’s gonna be horrible, Kabam has already shown us repeatedly how they divvy rewards. Everything will be grossly slanted towards the top 800 players or so, then a massive drop off to create envy and fomo, and so-on and so forth. Look at AW, AW, BGs, the writing is on the wall.

Good grief, why do they have to screw with this again? First it was that BS with the 200% global attack node and 500% global health node that gives the 3*s in Proven the same kind of health as frigging r3 5*s or r1 6*s, now it's this.

Here's my feedback: I play this game for fun not to have to study gigabytes of data on frigging nodes, abilities and who counters what. I want to use Marvel superheroes to smack the cack out of Marvel villains. I want to play the game at a lower difficulty so I can win and so I can follow the narrative. Stop frigging changing this with all this BS to "make the game better" or "more challenging". You could've just added a higher difficulty level with higher health pools for the Valiants and the Paragons and left the rest well alone. You're not encouraging me to play more, you are actually making me consider, once again, whether I want to keep playing this game. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not alone in feeling like this.

Also, Magneto can still do the fight just fine, you just can't cheese it. Boo hoo. If you can't do a fight without cheesing it, then you need to get better at the game. The cheese may be fun, but if you think it's the only way you can get through a fight without "farming for revives and potions", then that's a you problem, not a Kabam one.
