Re: How much monetization is too much?
I remember a time where you couldn’t have spent $600 on an event… now that’s almost the minimum expectationMore to the point, it's a business. There's no such thing as too much. We can still play for free if we choose. There absolutely is such thing as too much. The aggressive push for 600 dollars every 2-3 months is too much when you compare it to doing that only 2 times a year.
Re: Please do not touch Dr Voodoo’s power control
His power steal should stay the same, but they can remove his power drain/burn and have some mystic ability instead since most cosmics are immune to power drain.
Re: Please do not touch Dr Voodoo’s power control
Learn something new every day. Didn't know Night Thrasher was mystic. There's a reason he was one of the best mystics released during his timeAre tune ups enough for some of these champs? I know like Cull Obsidian, Viv Vision and Dr. Voodoo don't need much and maybe even Anti venom, but is a tune up enough for the other 2? Heck even Sabretooth is decent...soooo is a tune up enough for Night Thrasher?Night who? Exactly? Dude was irrelevant when he arrived and is still irrelevant loose slow champ. Dude got nothing working for him no damage no utility literally. What tune dude needs to be deleted and be worked on from scratch
Re: so how long is professor x gonna be bugged
So you were able recreate it? More recently than two years ago, I mean.
Re: so how long is professor x gonna be bugged
Just so we are on the same page. This is a video of a bug from two years ago that you can’t recreate in the present day?
Re: Battlecast Shard to Statcast Shard
Far from my preferred outcome, but I honestly wouldn’t even hate it. I just resent this IOU limbo Kabam is trying to pull, where they’re totally not gonna make battlecasts shards we’ve accumulated useless but also we have no plans on making new battlecasts but just trust us they’re still good rewards for content which is why we’re gonna keep giving them to you despite the fact that the backlog of shards everyone’s collected is the explicitly stated problem we’re dealing with.I appreciate Mike’s comments here but I don’t think it really changes my feelings on this matter. There has to be a middle ground between “wipe the metaphorical slate clean” and “whales with literal millions of relic shards saved get all 180 relics as soon as they launch without spending an extra dime”. The deep dive stated that there are no plans for new battlecast relics at this point, am I expected to hold on to these shards for another 2 years until you all finally have the time to make new ones and these finally have reasonable value again? If the problem is “too many people have mass relic shards that would trivialize collection”, then letting people sit and collect more shards only exacerbates the problem when you eventually do get around to it, which kinda erodes my trust that it ever will be “worth it” for Kabam to make battlecasts. I don’t see how my aforementioned limited conversion idea is impossible; give the folks who have been saving relic resources for the day y’all finally released new relics a bit of a deserved head start without letting them max out their collections instantly. At this point, id be happy if they just removed all battlecasts when statcasts drop. Of course id expect some kind of refund from opening and upgrading them.
And as a bit of an endnote, with no promises of battlecasts coming in the future, this makes battlecast relics shards a bit of a “dead end” resource; eventually you can collect them all and you can reach a point where they have literally no value (technically duping relics gives you a bit of gold and embers but let’s not pretend those really mean much of anything). I don’t think this is something that can be allowed to stand. Champion crystal shards always have value because there’s always new champs to collect, and their associated rank up and level up resources too by the same token. Mysterium, gold, radiance, loyalty, battlechips, they all continually offer some value in getting these always valuable resources. Battlecast shards are now the opposite, where I can reach a point where there is almost literally no more value in collecting them besides speculative hope - and yet Kabam will inevitably continue to offer them as rewards in content like the event and side quest. I strongly urge Kabam to consider this point heavily when considering the future of battlecasts, and realize that trying to kick the can down the road like y’all are doing now will only lead to a more explosive result when things come to a head.
Re: Battlecast Shard to Statcast Shard
Might as well forewarn everyone now, the next type of relic after statcasts will use yet another type of shard.
