Make sure you're far from the defender when the root or be rooted timer goes off. Once the defender is rooted, you can whiff a few attacks to gain power. It's the only way to gain power in the fight. Once you have some power knock him down with your special and you'll do damage. Repeat this process until he's done.

Zemo start the fight with 5 pasive furys ( when puriffies the debuffs of Knull) and can smash Knull very quickly

Make sure you’re bringing 3* champs with Steve, else you’ll be in a different sector you’re not eligible for rewards for.

That is the symbiote sector BONUS event, the event didn't reset ...
Did we just get a QOL improvement?
If you KO an opponent with a special, the animation continues as normal. But if you hit them with a basic attack, the hit that KO’s the defender stops all animations. Very noticeable on multi hit heavies and mediums with multiple hits. The animations not only end but the post fight screen pops up fast and can be quickly dismissed.
A small victory for saving time in game.

Check the incursion chat. If there is a green go button, you can still access it since you were already in the run. It extends the timer similar to how you can access daily quests if you were already in it after the timer is gone. However, I don't know how long the timer extends in incursions (could be an hour, 24 hours, etc).
