Re: How to Not Lose Points to Modders
This isn't a case of the police being called and arriving quicker to the folks they favor. This is a case of the police being present when the crime is happening and doing their jobs. Completely different scenario. It's cool that Lagacy didn't get screwed over by this lowlife cheater.Yeah I mean, I'm happy that Lags got saved and the cheater got banned.
But why can't Kabam now go back and delete the lost points for everyone else who got screwed over by this cheater?
It literally took these Kabam bros 30 seconds to move the wheels of justice for Lagacy.
They must've been parkouring across the office trying to help their broski.
But why does that mean we also have to be happy with a clearcut case of selective enforcement?
I've seen this on nextdoor/facebook when I used to still go on those sites.
The police would respond immediately to a robbery at a rich person's house, and other people would say, why do they never respond like that when we call about intruders in our homes.
And then some frequent commenters would always say stuff like: "Shut up and just be glad the police caught the robbers this time."
What's even crazier is that these frequent commenters weren't even affiliated with the police department in any way, and the police itself would never try to defend its actions like that.
At the end of the day, the facts here speak for themselves, and I'm seeing this being talked about in various other channels.
So everyone is entitled to their opinion, and there is no need for me or anyone else to keep posting the same opinions again and again, so I'm out on this one.
My thoughts on High Evolutionary.

So, I just got the 3* High Evolutionary from arena, and here are my overall thoughts
Things I like
- Damage: Though his damage isn't the absolute highest, he is still somewhat usable in short fights, provided that both are at equal ranks, or is punching down. No one in game currently is immune to Combo detonation, nor the extra dmg when inside the field, so that's pretty good. In longer fights, just repeat the SP1 SP2 loop several times.
- Utility: Similar to damage, High Evo doesn't have that much utility compared to other science attackers, he does still have the usual science stuff, such as heal reversal via despair, some power gain reduction via Wither and Exhaustion, plus some of his debuffs cannot be purified, which can be helpful vs certain nodes. He is also immune to buffs from Champions, so he does counter some tough mystics like Nico Minoru and Spider Man Supreme, who are known for placing buffs onto you.
- Defense and sustainability: His main defensive threats are his autoblock which cannot trigger Parry, and the combo detonation. To fight him, use alternating attacks, like when playing Spiral or going against Mix Master. I think anyone can take him, but skill champs with high combo count and multi hit combos can get past his combo detonation. High Evo does shut down true sense and undermine, but he doesn't shut off other True effects such as True Accuracy or True Strike, so champs who have those can also bypass his autoblock. His autoblock is also immune to AAR, so no using XBones or Falcon to shut that off. However, I do think that he's gonna be somewhat annoying with certain node combinations, such as Special focus 2, stun immunity, intercepting and knockdown nodes, but we'll see.
- Prestige: He has the highest prestige in game, so anyone who cares about prestige will want him and have him duped.
- Signature ability: Pretty helpful, the more sigs, the more effective this will be. Plus the higher sig increases his prestige
- Flow and management: His rotation requires building up debuffs to inflict that combo detonation, using SP2 to place the Evolutionary Field, and detonating it using a Sp1. I have tested him out vs some defenders, and I feel that the field lasts too short for me to land 2 sp1s for max damage, so maybe it should last a bit longer? I also feel like his combo detonation should increase when you attack (similar to Beta Ray bill) and that it will make his rotation less stressful to manage.
Thoughts?
Re: Enough is Enough – Card RNG in the July Fantastic Force Is a Rigged Scam!
As the late great Kenny Rogers used to say you got to know when to hold em know when to fold em know when to walk away and know when to run you never count your money when your sitting at the table there'll be time enough for countin when the dealins done
Re: Dr Voodoo sp2… better or worse?
They didn't label them as reworks at all, they listed them as tune upsI guess to be fair to them, they did label these as reworks and reworks are not necessarily buffs. Even though that's dumbI think the idea was to make the Even SP2 power control and the Odd damage, where Even now has power control and damage and Odd was pretty much worthless most of the time except for keeping power low if you did it accidentally. Unfortunately, they picked Power Dissolve (and it's a debuff (boo!) instead of a passive effect (meh) or a buff he puts on himself (🤘!) that benefits from his sig (🤘 🤘!) = worse) and it doesn't do anything (except give free willpower healing) unless they're losing power, so you have to have already done an Even SP2 or an SP3 before the odd SP2 to get to the damage. The issue is the chance of it occurring didn't matter if he was awakened. So better for him being unawakened but worse overall. They did explicit say it's not a nerf, well have to wait until gameplay but remember that he gains increased ability accuracy on combo so the rates are probably higher than thisSome of the numbers are better (was one 50% chance and now three 65% chances), but what was the likelihood they were going to say they nerfed anything? I'd like to see the explanation and demo of how his SP2 is better in practice. Right now, it's pretty good and the damage and power control are readily accessible. He's just too weak as a 6 star, even ascended.
Also making the power burn a steal instead is disgusting in a bad way. What the hell, Kabam?
Unless I'm missing something, it would seem to be worse in general. They've pumped up a weak aspect a bit and took away what was actually really good.
Cycling Even SP2s would keep the opponent unable to perform any specials while doing steady damage... and now I see why they made it worse. Kabam, you're not slick with your Kabampaign to keep power control and regen sucking throughout the game. That's annoying. I was really looking forward to a Dr Voodoo strong enough to take to rank 4. Now I'll have to see how annoying this new loop is before I put resources towards him.

Re: Thoughts on the 9 buffed champions?
I don't even care about the sp2 change (honestly think it's better and I'll explain why).Dr voodoo looks mid asf I wonder what kind of defenders he actually can take? Lol. Half of cosmic is poison immune so he lose main sources of damage, need to go for 2 sp2 one with even and one with odd just to get the damage going. I wonder what problem he solved in the game except DP.I think they didn't want to make him a 7 star while he could basically keep most opponents at 0 power indefinitely after 1 SP2. As a 6 star, he's just too weak to really take advantage of it. When's the other champ that can do the same, OG Psylocke, getting her nerf, I mean buff?
My biggest problem is his poor buff control. Nullify is arguably the worst form of buff control since 1) some champs including cosmics are outright immune to it. 2) you don't wanna trigger some buffs in first place (regen unstoppable).
Previously sp2 does great power control, but the current one I think has better damage. For example, throw sp1, nullify buffs, get lots of power, throw sp2 even combo, get 3 buffs, then throw odd combo, inflict the debuffs, then go for sp3 if required, all possible since now he can get lots and lots of power.
If only he has better buff control. Let's see how he ends up.
What is happening here?

You can very clearly see that the root wears off and I'm able to move as seen by me dashing in. However, then the root comes back and locks me in place just so my medium attack doesn't connect. Then Thanos immediately taps block to parry me. How come the root can change its mind and say its still active when it already expired and I was already moving?
