Re: Champion design-Episode 2 THE WATCHER
Looks like the new best cosmic lol
BTW, if Franklin Richards was in MCOC, how would you design him?
BTW, if Franklin Richards was in MCOC, how would you design him?
Re: Initial Thoughts On The Maker?

Finally got the Maker and here are my current thoughts after testing him out
Things I like
- Damage is very consistent, with no one immune to Plasma, making it a very good damage source. In fact, out of every energy damaging effect, Plasma is the only effect no one is immune to. Dark Phoenix and Iceman are immune to Nova Flame but no one is immune to plasma
- The evade on parry with passive stun is very useful with a short cooldown, making him viable vs unblockable opponents, or opponents that you cannot parry easily (Skill champs, Shuri, Maw, Onslaught). Also makes him decent for Zola since he can heavy knock down Zola every 8 seconds.
- Neuroshock immunity. More mutant defenders like Cap Britain and Onslaught have neuroshock damage and I'm sure we'll see future Neuroshock damage nodes like hazard shift, so this will be useful. Reverse controls immunity is always nice vs those annoying RC champs (Emma Frost, High Evolutionary, Knull, Onslaught)
- Animations are top tier, especially that brutal SP3. SP1 and SP2 are cool.
- Prefights are useful anywhere. For example, vs Captain Britain, anyone can use the special power drain in war and questing, doesn't have to be the Maker who uses it. Another example, if you are facing Kitty Pryde anywhere, choose the Cowardice prefight with anyone including the Maker, and Kitty is shut down as long as the cowardice stays on them. The instant siphon is useful for anyone with high burst damage (Galan, Serpent, Jean, DPXF), as MSD showed in his video
- His power control is among the best vs non-power gain champs. First of all, that special power drain counters any champion or node with power efficiency (Sentinel, Dust, Professor X). Secondly, those suppressions lock down the opponent's CPR pretty well, but Maker also gets that Power Reroute, stealing all the opponent's power for himself. But the real insanity is combing this with Mr Fantastic's suppressions. The Maker's suppressions are 10% each and can stack up to 60%. Combining that with Mr Fantastic's 22% 3 Suppressions (highest versions), that means the opponent gets 126% less combat power rate. Haven't tested this before, but it should mean that unless the opponent has power gain, they will gain either no power, or very less power.
- Needs the highest rank possible for max damage. The one issue I am having, is that if the opponent doesn't die after a SP2, it may take a while for the Maker to finish off his opponent. Sure you can go to the SP3, but it does slow things down, especially in BGs.
- Stun Immunity. If the opponent is Stun immune, it makes it harder for Maker to rely on his evade and heavies to reset the mine
- Defensive abilities: The Maker for all his power control and evade stun, cannot counter abilities like evade, unstoppable or miss, which can potentially disrupt his loop.
Re: Next livestream
Is it this Friday at the same time?Yes as in game says 9 days till next eq meaning this friday should be the reveal of content of august

Re: Heal on Zola's SP3 underpowered in incursions
I've never recorded gameplay before. I'd be willing to, but I'm not sure how to do it to be honest.iPhone or Android? For Android, there's usually a swipe down menu that has screen record. Or you can search screen record and it will pop up.

Re: Heal on Zola's SP3 underpowered in incursions
You notice how those Regens (and Armor Breaks) are basically not expiring? Every time you use Zola’s sp3 in a quest, all subsequent uses have the base duration of the Regen and Armor Breaks tripled, to a max of 540 seconds on the 4th use. That’s 9 whole minutes.
You’re finding that the Regen is underpowered because it’s restoring all of your missing health over 9 minutes, which is obviously a minuscule amount of health gain per tick. It’s an intended counterbalance to stop Zola from constantly getting full health bar heals throughout the quest, if you use sp3 too many times the Regen starts taking an impractically large amount of time to do anything meaningful.
(And yes, if you didn’t know, a full Incursions run counts as one single quest, even as you keep going up zones and going to a new map. This is why Persistent Ramp champs and Cross-Fight buffs like Aegon and Odin pre-fights are so valuable in Incursions instead of being useless.)

Re: Heal on Zola's SP3 underpowered in incursions
Does it have to do with this symbol? That symbol is the symbol for when cascade defense (or whatever the stun after especially hack is) timer is done, and you can stun again after a special. So it shouldn't have anything to do with Zola's sp3 heal.
I'm pretty sure that it the low-powered self-repair was not happening after a stun, but I was also trying to take a screenshot to report the issue, and maybe I am missing something here.
Can you upload a video? I didn't have any issues with Zola's heal, but I only have used him for about nine fights total.
Re: breakdown of doom cycle and why this type of gameplay needs to go away forever.
you're not forced to brush your teeth either, but there are consequences if you don'tNo one is forced to do it.okay, you proudly missed the point, downplayed the problem, and acted like disengaging makes you wise, when in reality, it just makes you irrelevant to the discussion. here’s why:“We can’t ignore it”?.This much outrage on simply a gamemode that you can easily ignore is crazy, you completely missed the point or chose to ignore it. it’s not just ‘something you can easily ignore’ — they purposely stuffed it with great rewards so we can’t ignore it. that’s the issue. it’s low-effort, off-brand content shoved into the game with insane rewards to force engagement, not because it’s fun or good.
It also gives good rewards for minimal effort so won't advice to ignore.
acting like that’s fine is how we keep getting more of this lazy design.
I have since last Wednesday when it was released,..did one run of it for 15-20 minutes and I haven’t been back since,.,and I won’t for the remaining tine it’s available.
I don’t think the rewards make it worth playing the mode,.,(it’s that bad),.,so i don’t.
…see?,.., it’s easy.
i’m pointing out that kabam jammed valuable, top-tier rewards into garbage content specifically to force players — especially competitive ones — into engaging with it, whether they like it or not. It’s not about skipping it, it’s about how this tactic degrades the game design and sets a horrible precedent.
kabam’s entire goal with this kind of content is to test how little effort they can put in and still get engagement by attaching bait-tier rewards. players like you ignoring it does nothing if thousands more cave and buy arcade tickets.
