I feel that people are missing the point. No one is complaining about the difficulty of these fights. At least, most people aren't complaining about that. People are annoyed at the lazy choice of defenders in a quest that uses paths to incentivize the use of Class-specific champs.

When Defenders are placed that completely render those nodes useless, it's a little frustrating and begs the question as to the point of the nodes if they ultimately have no effect whatsoever on the fight. It's like designing a fight to grant bonus attack rating while the Defender is suffering from Bleed but placing Gentle as the Defender. The node would likely be removed because it serves no purpose. Colossus and Hulking are the worst offenders for me out of the group initially mentioned by the OP. Not because the fights are more difficult or a little slower but because the design makes no sense. It makes you think the game team doesn't check over content before releasing, something I don't believe is true.

Ultimately, you're right; it's a small issue. In both normal and Elder difficulty, you can just bring a champion that can take those champs. I don't mind a little extra difficulty. But amidst all the other problems currently and a general dislike of the state of the game by the community, small issues like nonsensical node and defender placements in EQ are a bit more magnified. And I can get where OP and the others are coming from with this one even if it is minor.

You are still not getting it... If this was an oversight on Kabam's end then it sets a bad precedent but if it was intended then it's ok I guess... as long as it doesn't get annoying I did the quest no issues, I only struggled a bit with Omega sentinel since kept forgetting to alternate my combo.

Are you planning on doing 9.4 and carinas?

I think Elder sooner rather than later is going to be better overall value than Torch right now. We've lived without him for a year, and there are so many champs in the game that, while he is great, there really aren't any moments where he is a must, and only so many where he is the best. If it's your first R5, and you don't have any other prospects of getting #3 anytime soon, then I'd lean that way like 60/40.

But how does it harm you getting extra resources? You aren't buying them with cash or units. So, just ignore them or sell them. Why do players complain about everything and everything, lol
