So the lesson here is do the objective asap using a team to take advantage of whatever they might have missed.

That's fine, You keep the objective but everyone doing it later has to do it the harder way.

honestly why can’t they just change his animations. It doesn’t matter how good the abilities are I despise the stupid shield and hammer and shaking up and down the character model does! What would be a massive slap in the face is releasing him in the titan while people that PAID for the double track still won't get him until the titan rolls over unless they paid EXTRA MONEY for the extra days to get him earlier.

One area of consistency has been their communication in this regard - hold onto the information the players want for as long as possible so you don't have to hear the complaints as long leading up to it. Of course, complaints could also be solved by having less terrible ideas.
