Re: Shame on you Kabam
Here's the thing…if these people doubling their crystal stash doesn't affect them that much, then it won't affect everyone else that much if we also get to double our crystal openings. If the effects are so minor, what is the harm in letting everyone else double up crystals they open for the rest of this week too?
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
Yes, it might be a little harder to program to make up a special crystal. But, if they want to go the quick and easy route, then they can just as easily give the rest of us the same benefit, and let anyone who opens crystals this week get our 1:1 duplicates in the mail next week. What's the reasoning not to? That it will make our accounts too strong? Well, a portion of players were just allowed to make their accounts stronger, and get an advantage over the rest of us. That's not how a neutral referee manages a game. The only reason one player would ever get bonus points from a referee is if the opposing player actually broke a rule of the game, which we didn't do.
Re: The Problem with The Compensation
I see why people are upset by the compensation, and the weird thing is that Kabam (essentially) acknowledges that there could be a competitive imbalance due to the compensation - by excluding these compensation from the Retroactive Economy Rewards.
So on the one hand, PVP players can be comforted by compensated players not having a leg up in the Ascension race …. but don’t worry about doubling of crystals they’re benefiting from. That makes sense
Re: A Clear Perspective on the Compensation
Ha. Says the guy who just walked into 52 free 7* crystals and all that comes with them…
Re: A Clear Perspective on the Compensation
Ah yes, a "I benefit from Kabam's decision, so I will defend them" take, how original
Re: Bad kabam team work
Except it is against the rules....You have to blur out the name, a forum Guardian is telling you too. Most likely he knows the rules bettet than you.
Re: Problems using Apple Pay in Webstore
At this point it looks like Xsolla made changes. If you haven't already, reach out to them for understanding. Not really something Kabam has any control over.
@KabamPinwheel any thoughts?
Re: BASE POOL CRYSTAL COMPENSATION - A SUGGESTION FOR A BETTER FIX
I opened early hoping to dupe sinister. At this point my sig stones are about to expire and I can’t reroll until compensation.
so due to the bug, I blindly had to use a generic AG on sinister without knowing if I would have pulled him fairly. Screw Titan crystal shards, I just wanted a duped sinister :(
Re: BASE POOL CRYSTAL COMPENSATION - A SUGGESTION FOR A BETTER FIX
Agreed. I feel awful because I was sitting there watching the bugged crystal reports when they launched, and thought I was doing the "right" thing by waiting to open mine. I thought Kabam didn't want us to "take advantage of" a bug by rushing in to do things before it got fixed. Now I'm seeing that the people who opened during the bug are getting a huge bonus by having their crystals doubled. I could've opened over 35 basic 7-stars and various of the special ones like Valiant, etc. too, but I chose not to mess with the bugged system. Now I'm being punished for it.
This is a competitive game. Battlegrounds and War are still two of the most important modes, and are totally competitive ones. Your relative roster strength to others defines how well you will do. Not to mention, our "prestige" now directly affects our monthly quest rewards. The "rules of the game" are not supposed to randomly benefit one group of players over another by suddenly giving some people's rosters a big boost that others don't get.
The Arnim Zola issue showed that Kabam understood this at that time. They made sure that everybody benefitted equally from the "fix," not just people who happened to be opening during the bug. Now the opposite is happening, and one group of players is getting a reward, which, by definition, means the other group of players is getting punished. We are now at a bigger competitive disadvantage relative to the people getting the "compensation," through no fault of our own.
This solution is good, but can no longer be based on the first 24 hours, since that time has passed. There has to be a window of time given after they announce they would be doing this to give us time to open crystals based on this new knowledge.
I do think a "better" solution would've been to make an "Oops" crystal with just the 21 champs that were missing as the contents. Those champs are about 1 in every 8 in the pool. So send people 1 of those crystals for every 8 they opened. If they only did that for the people who opened crystals during the bug, I don't think it would've annoyed many people. That seems like a fair compensation, rather than actually getting to do ALL of your pulls all over again for free, and possibly picking up many other great older champs along the way.
