I'd be willing to bet the majority didn't know there was a bug. So how is that fair?
Every damn person opening crystals is being told "you exploited the bug" when 95% of them didn't even know it was a bug in the first place.
This is the best solution I can think of for this whole fiasco
We can adopt the following formula for valiants
Compensation= N+3
Where N is the number of bugged crystals you opened and will be getting back 1 to 1, plus 3 additional 7* crystals
We can do N+2 for paragons, N+1 for thronebreakers
This way everyone will get some compensation, those who chose not to open crystals will at least get something which is better than nothing

They obviously don't care, and everything is a bunch of BS. They really solidified this time that the community cannot trust them when they say anything. People started to believe and hope again after the fest but nope. They just threw all that out the window and made everything so much worse than before the fest

It is difficult to argue that players straight up exploited a bug when the comp was announced 4 or 5 hours after the bug was fixed. Nobody opened their crystals assuming they'd get duplicates, even if they opened them only hoping for comp. You can't gain an unfair advantage if there's no actual advantage.
Yes, Kabam's decision made up for it and does make it seem worse, but anyone that opened their crystals after they knew there was a problem was knowingly taking a risk, not knowingly gaining a significant advantage.

Was there a turnover in the game team such that the people who made the Zola decision are no longer there, and new people are making this current bugged crystal decision?
