So if player A opened 100 7* crystals at 10:46 a.m., they get to keep everything they got from those crystals and get another 100 7* crystals. And player B who opened 100 7* crystals at 10:48 a.m. gets no bonus crystals. This would only make sense if those bugged crystals were like giving empty rewards, but they weren't. They gave out 100 7* champs (including new champs or extra sigs/titan shards/ISO).

Honestly im happy for anyone who got compensated, but anyone who's condescending the players asking for an extension (similar to Zola bug) and saying stuff like "jealous" or "snooze you lose" style responses doesnt understand basic logical thinking.

There are

1) different time zones

2) work

3) people who are honest and chose

4) This is the most key point.

You have people who were NOT affected that took the opportunity to EXPLOIT by opening right after realizing it was bugged, who had no intentions of opening (or opening their full stash)

Then you have the people who saw that it was bugged and chose to follow the morally right path, and not mass open their crystals, who are now being punished competitively from a severe disadvantage

It sounds like most people are jealous that they’re not able to experience compensation for something that did not affect them, but you’re disguising it as “feedback and critique”. It’s not your birthday, therefore you don’t get to blow the candle.

The crystals were supposed to update at 1pm EST. Notification about the crystal not being updated came at 1:39pm EST on Discord. The notification about the crystal being updated came at 1:56pm on Discord. That means there was a 17 minute window in which people were aware, by notification, of a bug. But you know what? That means there was approximately 40 minutes of an unidentified bug. I would assume that more people opened crystals during the 40 minute window than the 17 minute window.

Emotions are high, I understand that. But if you were not affected, I do not see the big deal. You assume 20 extra sig levels is going to make a big difference when prestige is based on top 30 and not top 5? You assume more ISO is going to make a difference when most summoners are swimming in excess ISO anyway? You assume that people getting Titan shards is going to be game breaking? Some of you are bringing up things that are not relevant. Even if somebody duped 45 7*s, that’s 27,000 Titan shards. That’s one and a half Titan. That’s not game breaking.

I would feel somewhat bad for the team except for the fact that this is such a dumb and simple mistake. To even call this a bug is a joke. Updating a crystal is not splitting the atom or putting a man on Europa. Most likely there’s a dude who was supposed to update and double check a SQL file and they just didn’t do it.

Why not wait to fix the pool and extend the free crystal window for a day or two to give everyone a chance at ridiculously generous double-up rewards?

24 hrs because there were those that rushed to open as soon as the crystal dropped and those that saw the message and waited. These are the two groups of hoarders that really are impacted. If you formed a 15K shard crystal the day after this really didnt impact you at all. Sorry that your brain must be to small to realize the actual issue.

It is a "damned if you do, damned if you dont" situation. The best option would have been to make sure the issue never occurred, but now that it has, the way Kabam is giving comps is the only option really.

So all the people who opened their 7*'s when the changeover happened exploited a bug they didn't know was a bug but because they opened a bugged crystal it was them exploiting that hug they didn't know was there.
