I don't think that is a thing Kabam tends to do, but the entire discussion is moot because the idea of placing chase items in Battlegrounds started at a time when BG participation was much higher. It isn't something they just suddenly decided to do now in the face of lower participation.

It is worth keeping in mind a couple things with regard to these special chase champs.

1. They aren't intended to be easily accessible by everyone. Complaints of the form "well how am I supposed to get them" have the default answer "maybe you aren't supposed to." They are supposed to be non-trivial to get, and some pieces are explicitly intended to be easier than others, and some much harder than others.
2. The original idea did not include an option to buy missing pieces at all. That idea was added later, and this is a double-edged sword. It helps players who miss a piece or who come along to the game after the chase is already started (or completed) but it also reduces the need to make pieces more accessible. If you can't catch a piece, you can always buy it. That's what units are for.

@DrZola they'll literally shut the game down there and then for emergency maintenance if there's a pro player bug, but wait weeks, sometimes months when we are literally owed anything because of their error, il keep saying it, but it wouldn't be any cause for complaint if they just updated us better..

That is an excellent question, its hard to believe it was that many to take this much time....

Sometimes I don't understand their train of thought on compensations.

Elder EQ: we have to comb data, compensate the right people, check everything…

Bugged crystals: just send the crystals back... Give them twice as many crystals, who cares anyway...

When people say it’s unfair to criticize the team for the impression that they hasten to fix things that are advantageous to players while taking their sweet time to fix things that are disadvantageous to the player, it’s important to ask them to recall things like this that feel like they are made to be as slow and foot-draggingly tedious as possible.

As runner up it doesn’t hurt also to mention the Raids shortfall in Radiance that continues to remain unfixed a week later.

Boosts make things faster and at times cheaper, but they don't make things possible. You're not going to clear things you can't clear without boosts just because you put boosts on. Skill is required.

I bought and opened enough crystals with USD bundles and in game units that I ran out of champs to use them on, have 10 left that are currently unusable and 7 that will just disappear unless I trade them for a laughable 1/2 a class cat? Nah, it’s just not ethical here man. Hard to feel confident in future purchases having any value if they are just selling you expiring digital bricks
