Re: Why is this allowed?
I don't keep track of who all is in the program. I just notice bigotry when it's obvious. Tbh I'd rather people be open about it than the ones who try to "mask their power levels" because at least the ones that are out in the open about it have conviction and we can easily avoid them. It's the snakes that pretend to not be snakes that are usually the most venomous.
Re: We really need something from you Kabam
The Battleground Brawl was a very specific tournament with rules specifically intended for a tournament environment. The Battlegrounds we see in the game is a game mode that is part of a progressional game. The rules are different because those two things are completely different.
We give the Brawl competitors far more agency over roster because you do not build upon the Brawl roster. You go in, use what is there, and then leave. The BG game mode is not like that because its sole purpose for existing is to support and integrate with the rest of the game. It is there to encourage roster growth. It is there to gain rewards for progression. We go in with our rosters, and we use the rewards from the mode to continue to grow our rosters. If we all used the same rosters, there would be no way to improve our ability to compete within the mode. Most of the point of it existing in the first place would be gone. This is explicitly why BG doesn't use deck matching. When BG used deck matching we could all just create 4* decks and essentially have every champ in the game maxed out. But then what would be the point to ranking up anything, if those rank ups never actually helped us in BG, especially for players who focus on BG?
Kabam has put a lot of effort into improving and refining BG. Your problem is your problems are your problems. They aren't the game's problems. Kabam has put zero effort into fixing your problems not because they are lazy, but because they don't want BG to be whatever fever dream you want it to be. They aren't avoiding making it what you want. They are actively deliberately avoiding that. Heck, half the stuff you want we used to have, and Kabam invested time and energy in actively removing those things from the game.
And by the way, if BG is so messed up, how did those guys even get to Vancouver? How is it that a game mode that is such a dumpster fire by your apparent assessment end up somehow distilling only the ultra high skill players into the Brawl? You're focused on the Brawl rules, but you do not seem to have an explanation for how eight players with different in-game roster strength and only two shots to qualify somehow get lucky enough to make it. If luck is more important than skill, why wasn't I up there? Why wasn't it some random Thronebreaker, of which there are far more of them than end gamers, or just the top eight spenders in the game? How did a game mode that you claim is broken and lacks focus on skill somehow magically select eight of the highest skill players in the game to compete in a tournament in the first place?
That is, ultimately, what a competition is supposed to do. Find the best competitors. If the game mode is broken, it should have failed in its one job. Did it? Didn't seem like it to me.
Fantastic Force Crystal Shards Situation
Kabam said that they were going to do an exchange, FF shards for 7* shards.
Nothing of that sort happened all this time, and went to my crystals tab, and the shards were missing as well.
What exactly happened here?
Re: Counterpoint: This GC meta is actually great
I’m the furthest thing from a bot. Check my other griping posts if you want.
Maybe I wasn’t clear in my original thought. It’s not that the draft doesn’t matter, because of course it does. What I’m saying is that I like this meta because the draft doesn’t matter AS MUCH because the intercept node creates chaos. You can get out drafted in this meta and it’s still worth playing the match because there’s a much, much higher chance that your opponent will make a mistake or get screwed by the AI.
Because gameplay and RNG factors contribute more to the equation this month, this meta feels less like an rpg card game where just drawing the best / meta champs is enough to almost guarantee you a win.
Re: Which 7* Needs the Sigs More
Definitely not Okoye - she only really needs to be awakened as she gets the best of it immediately
Re: 2025 Quality of life changes I'd like to see:
14 existed a few years ago and worked fine, then it just mysteriously disappeared...right around the time that Kabam went through a stretch of overdoing it on duel targets.
Re: Counterpoint: This GC meta is actually great
The Syndrome argument: Everyone is miserable so no one is miserable. Nice.
"Skill" is watching enemy walk up and light tap as you try to go for intercept. Great skill.
Re: Counterpoint: This GC meta is actually great
The number of kabam troll bots defending psychotic metas is ridiculous
Re: Counterpoint: This GC meta is actually great
How is this meta not draft dependent? Champs like red skull, dust and destroyer can easily f you up.
Oh did I mention enchantress? It is almost impossible to defeat her without spiderwomen, there is almost no time to damage her within the short window.
