Re: Project Banquet 100k
Update for February:
Units: 6631
Pace to reach 100k: 8767
So, I'm 2100 units behind my target pace. What happened; I should be well above 10k by now.
Well…
So there's three things about me and MCOC. The first one is I'm a bit of a data geek, as most people know by now. The second thing is I'm a very efficient player. I tend to use resources very efficiently. I don't let things expire, I try to use all my energy for some productive purpose (much harder this year than last year). I generally grind arena fairly efficiently.
The third thing though: in spite of all that, I sometimes just crash out spectacularly for no good reason. My most spectacular crash out happened around the time of the release of the Grandmaster's Gauntlet. If you haven't had the privilege of reading about that one, it is all here in black and white.
Well, I had another one of my moments. Not quite that bad, but equally stupid. Basically, I got stuck in week one of glitch incursions. I was trying out a different team and ran into a fight I couldn't get through. No problem just reset and try again. Or reset and swap to a cheese team and knock it out. I actually stopped, thought about it, asked around if there was something I was overlooking, and then just decided to throw in the towel.
I really, really should have just exited immediately.
Instead, I stayed in there, hoping something would come to me. And it did. A case of brain damage came to me, and I decided that it wasn't so bad, and I should give it a try. If you've seen my Grandmaster's Gauntlet post, you know this is how it starts. Heck, even Karatemike was like Viggo in John Wick. Instead of suggesting I take my Spider Gwen to rank 4, he just kinda went "oh." This should have been a sign, but instead I decided to give it a try. And another. And another.
Long story short, I'm down a few thousand units, because sometimes I'm just stupid. So I will be playing catch up for the next few months. Which brings up an interesting question: how do you catch up when grinding units?
There are some ways to do that. First of all, units appear in the game that are not in my unit guide, and are bespoke opportunities. For example, the Dimensional Arcade has 800 units in the milestones for that. I'm going to be going for those. Second of all, I could grind arena past the point of collecting all the units. But is that actually helpful?
Kinda. Once you've gotten all the units and BC in the milestones of the arenas, all that's left is earning more BC from individual arena rounds. The amount you get is actually determined by the rarity of your opponents. For example, if you beat all three and they are 7* champs, you would get 540 BC for that: 300 for beating all three, and 80 BC bonus for each 7* champ you beat. If they are all 6s, you'd get 480 BC instead: 300 + 60 BC per 6* champ you beat. If you just grind arena and you have all the milestones, you want to grind whichever arena allows you to match against the highest rarity opponents.
In theory, you could earn on average about 400-500 BC per round. Let's just estimate 500 per round which is slightly high, but a reasonable round number for estimate purposes. And let's say you do one arena round every 90 seconds or a minute and a half. That's 40 rounds per hour, which is 20,000 BC per hour.
At 1875 units (statistical average) per 1,000,000 BC, that would be about 37 units per hour. So if you're 2100 units behind your pace, you could catch up with about 57 hours of additional arena grinding.
Ouch. Maybe I should try not to crash out on content for the rest of 2026. And yes, I did in fact breeze through week two of glitch incursions using an Okoye/Angela/Ultron cheese team.
Anyhoo, between Dimensional Arcade and some extra grinding, I hope to be more or less back on track by March. In the meantime, I do have some other stuff I've noticed as I've been grinding a bit more than I originally planned, but I will save those observations for another post. I gotta go back to grinding arena.
Kabam don't make this kind of BG meta again
- u get jean + wolf + bastion nukes no matter how u do u can't beat them
- shows in the leaderboard 200 score is quantum - means barely 1000 people are playing others don't care .
- (suggestion: if u want to reduce the potency to let's say 250% not 400% )
Re: I can't get the dazzler stage tune out of my head
I've been asking for it as well.
I don't know if it's possible to extract it from the PC game files.

Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
This right here is spot on.
He is absolutely entitled to say what he wants. And we are allowed to reply, hey, maybe a player who is playing an entirely different game than us, shouldn’t be trying to tell valiants how we should value champs. Especially when simple logic leads us to seeing that BG has good rewards, I would like new champ releases or my rank ups to help me in that game mode. And typically those champs are good outside BGs too. Can’t say the same for these ramp champs
And regarding the AI, if it’s helping him due to a language barrier, fair enough. But everything about this screams I have an opinion and am too lazy to put some critical thinking into this, so let me just regurgitate what AI said about it
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
What you’re failing to understand is that we can’t trust your opinion, and I don’t even know if you actually have one. Need I remind you that I too think people care too much about if a champ is a BGs NUKE, specifically - Blue Marvel has a ton of great utility and damage, he’s just not fast enough to pull off a sub-45 second fight and so a lot of people are calling him mid (wanted to remind everyone what drove OP to make this AI post).
Do you need to be Valiant to have an opinion? Absolutely not. But with your post/contribution history, combined with this AI post, combined with the fact that not only are you not Valiant but your roster is so underdeveloped, that I don’t believe you’ve even got most champions as 6*s to be able to test them, nor have you completed the content outside of BGs (or in BGs) to test them in.
Instead, I’m inclined to believe that you just watch videos or read posts from other players who’ve ACTUALLY played and tested champs, and just regurgitate it here and in streams, asking questions in both places solely to get the attention - something I’ve watched you do for years.
People are taking the bashing on you a touch too far and making it personal - that’s not my objective. I really want you to try and understand my issue with this post - and basically all your other posts/comments. You have never proven to be a reliable/knowledgeable source of information, so don’t try and act like one.
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
While bg is the biggest mode in the game, I'd have to heavily argue against clobbers point of it being representative of a champion viability in the game.
If a champion can't finish a fight a big against a particular defender on a particular meta it doesn't mean anything for them being used in other content with the same nodes and defenders.
While it isn't brain rot a lot of focus is put on viability of champions in bg than other game modes
Re: M’Baku or Blue Marvel? Who are you more excited for?
Yeah i feel like battle grounds are always one sided on the drafts also i get the same 10 champs every round whether they are good counters or not and they aren’t my top shelf champs while the opponent seems to always get the perfect counters and defenders i don’t have counters to
Re: M’Baku or Blue Marvel? Who are you more excited for?
Blue Marvel is only the 4th Hyperion (and people against Colossus AoA 🤣)
You know, Im 100% hype to get M'Baku
Uh uh uh uh
Yibambe!
Re: MID-MARVEL
@EdisonLaw The meta rats are the best and most competitive players in the game. & unfortunately, when endgame players decide to rank champs you enjoy over the repetitive, boring meta champs…. you put yourself at a disadvantage. Battlegrounds is the only consistent and constant content in MCOC. Most of the time, BG’s is the only relevant content to top tier players throughout the year. & as an endgame, competitive players myself… even though I do fun rank ups more than most endgame players, I also do a lot of meta rank ups… because if I don’t, then i’ll be at a disadvantage in the only consistently relevant game mode throughout the year. Mediocre is NOT enough for us who are at the top of the game. Blue Marvel is so powerful and has been wanted after for years. He’s disappointing. We don’t need another champion made for content that only comes around once ever year or two.
