You said it was detrimental and others don't get it because they are all casual players. You'll still get the same shards next season that you got this time. It's not detrimental to how you play or what you get. Only deterioration in your game experience is that you feel bad someone else has more. That's a personal choice.

Do I wish I could have opened 50 crystals in that window? Sure. I already have 150+ 7-stars, even opening 50 crystals wouldn't make a whole lot of difference to me or dramatically increase my ability to do anything in the game. Maybe it makes me 2-3% weaker on a relative basis for a couple of seasons, hardly worth all the crying here.

This event's only saving grace is that you can restart the quest freely. If it were actually random and required you to take the path you got, the counters needed for some of the paths are so particular that you'd run the real risk of being found out and the rewards not remotely worth it.

Classes don’t exist at all in the Marvel Universe. They are a game construct. Class advantage doesn’t exist. Class restrictions don’t exist. And in fact, Rogue the champion suffers from a problem that does not exist for Rogue the character: her powers violate many class boundaries in the game. In MCOC mutants are not supposed to have buff manipulation and buff suppression abilities to the extent she does. If we honor canon too strictly and honor game conceptualization too strictly, many Marvel characters cannot exist in the game at all.

However, this is the Marvel universe where pretty much anything the writer wants to happen will happen. It has been established in canon that Rogue can absorb intrinsic mystic abilities, and there are alternate reality versions of Rogue where her permanently stolen baseline powers don’t come from Carol Danvers. Age of Apocalypse Rogue possessed Magnetos powers for example. It doesn’t take much effort for Stellar Forged Rogue to have a backstory where she absorbed mystic powers permanently (I believe she has in canon temporarily gained Absorbing Man’s abilities). This would better align her in-game abilities with the normal MCOC class conceptualizations.

He is more of a final piece in my opinion, in a similar mold to Kang, Thanos, Doom, etc.

They did communicate. They acknowledged the bug and the fix, and they explained what they decided to compensate. Quite promptly, actually.

What else are they obligated to say if people who weren't even affected by the issue are unhappy with the decision?

I have had nothing but very positive and helpful interactions with kabam support team in the 3 times I've had to contact them this year. Granted none were for bugs and all to do with my account.
