Re: Marvel Contest of Whales
I gave an idea. Add the additional deck size and bans once gladiator level is earned. After all that is where the serious BG players end up.
Re: How are you feeling about this lunar event ? Rate
Already completed this week's event, from all envelopes I opened, more than a hundred, got the incredible amount of 88 units.
Re: My thoughts on BG “experimental changes”
We really gotta stop acknowledging peixe’s existence, this the same guy that can’t even beat act 6 because he’s too 💩 at the game to do so
Re: do you like the bgs changes?
Every player, whether they have 0 R4s or 50 R4s, starts in Diamond. So of course you will meet a variety of rosters there.
If you didn't make it to GC before these changes, then I'm not really sure what your concern is to be honest. How can it get worse if you already couldn't compete?
Re: do you like the bgs changes?
The match I played this new meta, my opponent got 49k with Wolf against my max Britain.
I think there is definitely more room for scorched earth shenanigans with these changes, but I don't think it's as dire as it seems unless there are big holes in someone's roster that can be exploited.
Re: do you like the bgs changes?
Having more ban slots could also be beneficial for those of us that prefer to ban the most oppressive toxic defenders instead of building our whole rosters around countering them. Actually having some ban slots left to play with is something I'm looking forward to.
Let's see how it all plays out. I'm glad they are experimenting with the mode, hoping they are open to feedback.
Re: do you like the bgs changes?
yeah agreed, I think the game needs it too in all honesty
Re: do you like the bgs changes?
The biggest complaint I saw from very skilled but F2P or modest spending players was that you just don't have enough bans to even the playing field against whales.
If you want to ban Dark Phoenix and Torch for example, and maybe a 7R4 Punisher, that means you can't have any other bans to suit your deck.
5 bans gives you more flexibility.
Don't forget that skilled F2Ps have 20+ R4s at this point. There is parity in the top 90% of decks, just not in the top 10%.
Expanding bans lets people chip away more at that top 10%.
Now if we're talking about Uru people with 10 or less R4s, then yes, I see how this is bad for them.
But does it matter what happens in Uru? Those F2P Uru people aren't spending or grinding or caring that much anyway.
