Testing is over, time to share the results.

The following table shows the damage of "Bugged Valkyrie" compared with current "Fixed Valkyrie".

Settings: Testing was done against the old reliable RoL Winter Soldier, with a 7s R4 sig 200 (First Edition) Valkyrie, equipped with an unawakened 6s R4 Valkyrie relic

"Light", "Medium crit" and "Light into Block" are self explanatory, while the "Sp2 into block" row refers to the damage done by the first hit of the Sp2 (all other hits have the same damage multiplier) hitting into WS block. Important: 3 Pierce and 0 Bulwark were active for simplicity of testing, damage is a lot higher with 3 Bulwark too.

Results indicate a consistent damage increase between Basic Attacks, blocked Basic Attacks and blocked Special Attacks.
Instant Bleed damage were not increased at all.
That seems to go against Valkyrie intended design, given her ability description

An official response on the entire subject would be greatly appreciated: is this the damage increase you guys had in mind? Will something be done about the instant bleed damage?

Personal Note: Good damage buff, Valkyrie feels very powerful again. Instant bleed feels bad tho and should be buffed too.

I have a similar table ready for Hercules next month, with Basic and Special Attacks at 0, 5 and 12 Feats of Strenght (including different hits of Special Attacks given their different multiplier)

I never liked valkarie or champions who’s entire kit revolves around damaging through block. If it’s a couple hits needed like Adam or hulkling sure, but massacre, gladiator or Valk just don’t like

This has added absolutely nothing to rhe discussion.

I didn't mind it, it was challenging. but I have kushala so I didn't have a super hard time. I totally understand anyone who doesn't have her would have a brutal time. Even discounting that, none of the other content seems fun or worth doing anymore.

Every piece of content or change that KABAM has implemented this year has been grabage. This is just the latest example. Everything about this event is just not fun to me.

That I won't argue cause a lot of people do think about BGs first when they rank up a champ but at the end of the day that doesn't really matter because those champs would still be ranked up even if BGs weren't a thing. Op claims Blue Marvel hasn't been well received because he doesn't nuke fights in 30 secs, this is factually not true. The hate on Blue Marvel comes from the fact that 1. It takes a whole minute just to ramp up and the damage isn't anything crazy compared to a fully ramped Serpent or Enchantress where it absolutely pays off and 2. He has zero defensive value so you can't even place him on defense in other modes like war.

Nobody here is arguing that people don't think about BGs when choosing their rank ups because a lot of us do, what we are arguing however is that those rank ups wouldn't change one bit even if BGs didn't exist. Champs would be perceived and evaluated exactly the same way for the most part with some very few exceptions like Yelena Evo etc who would maybe drop down a few spots on the rankings but would still remain within the top 10-15 purely due to defensive value for AW and because they actually do dish out decent damage once fully ramped.

What I'm trying to say is you are arguing something nobody here is arguing about really. That's why if you read most of the comments on this thread people are saying the exact same things I just said.

The mode itself is fine, not great but don't mind playing it.

The thing is there is zero incentive to play the mode due to the atrocious rewards.
