Far too grindy and time-consuming. On top of that, it gets boring quickly. Doing the same fight over and over again against the same opponent… landing a few hits, dodging Adam Warlock’s SP1, and then starting all over again.
That’s only fun for the first five minutes.
I’m not into it at all.

Not at all. Mediums and avoiding an attack inflicts DOTs, 5+ DOTs gives you tracking (can’t miss) and AAR when they hit your block (which is massively underrated utility). Most fights, all you need to do is regular combos and spam SP1.Ironheart for sure - I took mine to R4 and used an AG on her. No regrets, she crushes everywhere. UnderratedIs she that good? I used her one time in arena and she looked promising. Is she complicated to use?
SP1s inflicts more DOTs, pauses them all, and inflicts a vulnerability passive (increases all damage). Most fights, just throwing this works - stacks the DOTs up (like Shuri), and means you have vulnerability and tracking passives up the whole fight. Nothing complex needed.
SP2 has boosted damage based on number of DOTs and armor up buffs, it’s her cashout, but some DOTs are going to expire in the time it takes to build and throw it. Good for closing out fights, but unless you’re in a rush, not needed.
Otherwise - heavy inflicts suppression and removes prowess, light attacks have a chance to give extra armor ups - all just icing on the cake. She’s got immunities and great damage with a simple SP1 playstyle.

agreed. The podiums are unreasonable as they are now. The last few take hundreds of XP to setup. Unless the XP carries over from Coliseum week to the next and the next… its not reasonable to expect people to do hundreds of runs over the course of 3 days.
And the price to upgrade… When I thought it was $50 to do "several runs" with the "bug", it seemed … "a whale thing, but ok"… but $50 for so few points compared to how many it takes to level up a podium is a joke.
Maybe 1000x points was too much, but as it is now, I doubt anyone would ever buy a point a gain due to lack of value
as for the "fix"… rather than giving people the points people "should have got with the purchase"… given the confusion, I'd much rather:
a: refunds (I know this is unlikely, but it has to go on the list)
b: GBCs of equal value… anyone buying the podium updates would likely buy GBCs with at least a deal or two, and passes "some kind of laugh test"
c: whatever we will get if we were to buy the $50 unit pack during the Christmas sale in a couple weeks.
If people really want to buy more podium tickets… they could then buy more next cycle… but again, unless changes are made to the value… I don't think anyone would buy them.

I don't know how to feel about this mode, making a mistake on choosing a champ seems too punishing.
We have seen the idea of buying an advantage in the game until now, purchase crystals or mats earlier and get and advantage. I don't think I like the idea of buying the levels though, it's basically buying a result, an auto complete in an Alliance mode related to AQ. They might as well start selling radiance instead...

People have gotten so used to overbloat and bs in champion kits that they forgot that most of that is Kabam just putting nodes in the kits themselves instead of using the nodes.
