Re: Venmo Pay not working on Summoner's Market
My Chime account is no longer working either. Had to use PayPal. The message I received on Chime's end was something like, "This platform does not support Chime or is from a country that does not support Chime." It was never an issue until this week, and I have international transactions turned on. I wonder if it's the same issue with Venmo, whatever the issue is.
Venmo Pay not working on Summoner's Market
Re: Rate my r4 champs
Here we go again, popped out of the depths of hell once again for the usual (totally not) flex post
Re: 2025 Banquet Pre-Mortem
Dude, if you can't hit the current milestones, you're not gonna hit extras wherever they put them, clearly. π€£
Re: How many units to land in 2-3% Rank rewards
We can at least be confident, for OP's sake, that 20k units isn't getting there.
Re: 2025 Banquet Realm Event Progress
Last year the cutoff for 2600 was around 80k, for 600 it was about 135k, for top 300 it was about 180k, for top 120 it was about 300k, for top 90 somewhere around 400k, top 60 was around 500k and top 30 was around 900k.
Top 3 no idea except for the top score which was 8.8 million.
For top 600 and up, I wouldn't trust 2024 scores to hint at 2025 scores at all. To the extent anyone legitimately competing up there is talking at all, there's unanimous agreement 2025 is going to go much, much higher. And nobody is seriously talking about top at all. If you hear anyone talking about top 3, they are either making stuff up or knowingly talking about interim scoring far lower than what the final scores of those people are going to be. Those rewards are just too juicy and too expensive for anyone to be giving any hints out.
They have an idea, because they all mostly know each other. They just aren't saying, and they are playing their own games with each other. When I placed fourth in Crystal Cleanse, I eventually found out what almost all the other top scores were, in confidence of course. For banquet we won't really have any idea until it is all over.
Mere mortals can shoot for top 1% or maybe top 2600. You need to be a significant spender to shoot for top 600. Above that you almost certainly need to be one of the larger whales of the game to have a serious shot.
Re: 2025 Banquet Realm Event Progress
In a group of over half a million people, you're going to see every kind of spending imaginable. The problem most people run into when thinking about this is assuming everyone is exactly like them, just with a different volume knob. They might spend more, they might spend less, but they will do it in exactly the same way they did. But that's not the case. Some players opened a bunch of crystals right as the event opened. Some waited until the next day. Some only play the game twice a week and didn't even have a chance to open crystals until the weekend. Some are opening crystals in small batches every other day. Some are waiting for the last day to open all of them.
What we're seeing in the points curve is everyone's behavior simultaneously. At every second of the day, someone somewhere is opening crystals. If you look at the data closely like I do (and have for almost every major realm event) you can even see the Earth slowly rotate under the game, as people wake up and go to sleep and the activity ebbs and flows. The highest activity tends to happen between 10am and 10pm Pacific time, and then it drops off to a lower but also relatively constant pace.
Right now there's someone opening the game for the first time since the banquet started. They might not even know there's a banquet going on. They'll be asking around and when they find out they'll decide to open a bunch of crystals. There's probably hundreds or thousands of such people.
We're seeing some players second batch of crystals, their third batch, their fourth batch. But we're probably also seeing some player's first batch of crystals ever in this banquet. Individually, each player is doing completely different things. It is only collectively that we see the points curves we do. Those curves do not show how many crystals individuals are opening. Individual players are not super enthusiastic then slowing down, then jumping back in, then getting tired and trialing off. The player base as a whole is doing that, individual players are doing their own unique things.
