Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
Quote from Discord announcements:
"We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear - with the launch of Adaptive Event Quests, there's no content to autofight in Marvel Contest of Champions for casual sessions. The team is actively sorting through feedback for EQ, but in the meantime, to keep the action flowing, we’re thrilled to announce that Daily Quests are going live today."
They pushed out the dailies early to take some of the sting out of having zero casual content left in the game, but it's not nearly enough.
My takeaway is that they're aware that the playerbase is largely disappointed in the overtuned nature of adaptive difficulty and that they're formulating changes that will at least make people more likely to play through the mode (even if they still don't like it.)
Whatever they do from here, it's gonna be an attempt at meeting us in the middle... I wouldn't hold out hope for any substantial changes.
Re: VALIANT EVENT QUEST - CHECK IN!
Open your eyes, guys.
It's clear that this whole movement to change the EQ is to encourage players to spend more money buying resources and pursuing the top 30 characters with the highest prestige. Not to mention buying potions and revives.
The only people who benefit from this new prestige scheme are the whales who inhabit the top 100+ players in the game. They are always getting all the new champions at launch and evolving them to the maximum (7 stars, r4 x 200).
The casual player with prestige 01/15 will face the same difficulty as the player with prestige 15/15 and receive fewer rewards. Does that seem fair to you? Basically, you're doing the same work (or more because your roster isn't full of 7 stars r4 x 200) and earning fewer rewards for it, simply because you haven't played the game long enough and haven't spent enough money to reach the pinnacle of 15/15 prestige.
The rewards should be based on each player's skill in overcoming challenges, not on how much money they spent to get the top 30 most prestigious characters.
I mentioned this in my previous comment, but again, Kabam is a company and clearly needs to make a profit, but there are numerous ways they can improve profits without compromising player enjoyment.

Unless he/she/it is on Kabam payroll…

Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
I have never seen every single player revolt, haven't heard of anyone praising EQ yet

I thought about that same guy too a few times this week and the way he was hyping this up on the stream… Can’t believe he thought this was player friendly and that we would enjoy this. Gotta wonder if he even tried it at all… This is the kind of own goal as a company that makes you completely lose credibility with your community.
They were aware though this may not go over well… On the last stream, the Kabam employee talking about it had some hesitation when he quickly introduced the increased difficulty level of Elder. It was like “I’m going to say it and try to minimize this.”.
What surprises me is zero comments that I know of from anyone at Kabam right now on this and the reaction of the community. They may be preparing the cliche: “This is not for everyone” speech which would not be a good answer right now.
