Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
I play this game to have fun, as I've said before. I want to have the fun of using Marvel superheroes smack the snot out of Marvel villains. I am not invested in being teh greytest leetest playa ev4. I hated the way the upped the health pools the last time the screwed with the EQ. Fudging 3*s with the same health as a r3 5* or a top-of-rank-1 6* was ass. I played EQ for the story more than the rewards, so I stuck to playing Proven. Now, for the first time since March 2016, I won't finish an EQ. (Tried to do the old 'Normal' difficulty and my roster wasn't up to it). I am not remotely happy that I have been forced into this after getting my ass beat in the first two fights that I've said, eff this I am not bothering.
'tuned to offer a more balanced and enjoyable experience' better mean a 50% reduction in health pools at least or I am seriously going to quit.
Funny timing on CCP codes and new EQ
I have loved Vega’s content in the past and appreciated his speaking truth to power earlier this year that resulted in real meaningful changes to the game.
I’m not calling him out personally from a character standpoint, but he’s been mute on this new event quest from what I’ve seen. Kabam now directly butters his bread so he literally has a conflict of interest to call out the game.
Respect to the CCPs that got codes for getting paid as everyone has to pay the bills, but an unfortunate side effect is that Kabam has effectively bought off some of the people that would be the loudest critics. Constructive criticism is a good thing that, if effectively channeled, usually results in better outcomes for everyone
My only hope is that money and metrics are talking and Kabam listens.

says 100% resistance to bleed effects. Last time I checked passive bleed is an effect. No?

Re: An honest plea to save eq for this month on a super simple way. A plea to kabam.
Prestige apparently should have been the average of your top 15 champions in each class. This month’s EQ is disheartening
Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
I honestly liked the format of Valiant EQ the past couple months…it seems like for "Adaptive EQ", they decided to take the same format and turn the difficulty up to 1,000. I don't know how they fumbled this as hard as they did, but it seems like the solution is relatively simple:
- Tune down defender health pools and attack ratings to reasonable levels (can still scale moderately with prestige).
- Fewer fights per path, 15 is way too many.
- Go back to full health after each champion swap. Why they decided to change this while the fights are as overtuned as they currently are (even on Classic difficulty) is beyond me.
It feels like Kabam had 5 different people working on ideas for how to make Adaptive EQ more difficult, and each of them implemented one idea, but none of the employees communicated their ideas to each other to make sure that all of the changes together made sense. Either that, or the quest is bugged and they unintentionally overtuned health pools and attack ratings. Either way, this is a serious quality control issue, and this quest never should've been released as is.
Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
Spot on. All their decisions make sense when you start at this presupposition driving content and sales and not something about “they messed up”… “ this was a mistake” “they seem out of touch”…. Time to put the rose color glasses down. The game is being driven in a narrow direction for a select few. It’s just that simple.
