Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
Without even reading this post, seeing the "BG brainrot" in the title, it's safe to say I'll agree with at least 95% of it. It's so ridiculous. Every champ is "mid" cause it's not a 30sec kill. Even saw a comment on that Lags video saying the designer(DLL) has something against black man due to the release of patriot & now blue marvel. Like what??? Is that relevant here, probably not, but had either been a BGs nuke, we probably don't see that connection. While a part of the community definitely is the reason, kabam is just as guilty, if not more. Considering how the whole game meta shifted towards BGs. It looks as they are trying to shift it back, imo, the damage is irreversible. Off to read the post. Hopefully it doesn't take me 15 minutes so I won't miss my edit timer, in case I need to change anything. I'm hopeful I won't
Edit- I'm back. Very well said
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
Short answer: design space
Long answer: Obscure or lesser-known champions powerful and creative kits because they have more design freedom and no strict fan expectations to follow. Take Attuma (MCU) for example, we barely know anything about him in the movie but that opens up a lot of room for designers, like his thorns mechanic or his AAR inversion
In contrast, iconic and hyped characters like Wolverine or Sentry must stay true to their lore and image, which limits their gameplay potential, as they often have to balance lore accuracy with gameplay balance. For example, they can’t make someone like OG Iron Man a battlegrounds-dominating tank with unblockable specials and auto-block because that breaks player expectation of who he is. So they often get under-tuned or “safe” kits that please lore fans but don’t shine competitively. Every champ in mcoc has their own place to shine
Plus, this is for the greater good of the game’s lifespan. Otherwise, MCOC wouldn’t have lasted this long if every single champ was game breaking. Look at Hercules for example
Re: Buffed Heimdall is bugged and it makes him 5/5 defender
Wow big shock they cant do anything right smh
Deathless Piece/Titan Nexus in Coliseum
That said, now that we’ve moved on to a new endgame chase, I think it’s worth discussing whether access to Deathless pieces could be slightly widened.
Proposal:
Include a Deathless Piece Selector as the top milestone reward for Solo and Alliance Coliseum. The selector would allow players to choose either a single Deathless piece or a Titan / Titan Nexus crystal, not a full champion.
The Coliseum is difficult, high investment content, and choosing a Deathless piece would mean giving up a Titan or Titan Nexus, which I think is a meaningful and fair trade off. To preserve exclusivity, this could also be offered for a limited time, specifically to reward loyal players who were active at the time of the Deathless release but simply weren’t strong enough to complete the original requirements.
From Kabam’s perspective, this could also pair well with a limited-time “Deathless Returns” offer alongside the Coliseum rewards.
I know some players will still prefer these champions remain completely gated. If that’s your view, I’d genuinely like to hear why you think this wouldn’t be a good idea rather than just downvoting. Let’s have an actual discussion about how Deathless champions could be made more accessible without devaluing the original achievement.
Re: Dark phoenix future acquisition
The new update removes her "availability" and Stellar Starlord as 2*-5*. Thank you to whomever listened!
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
IMO BGs could be the most competitive and representative game mode to know if a champ is good or no.
Story, AW, AQ or Coliseum can be done in more than one try with revives (in AW maybe not, but you dont have to kill the defender as fast as posible, or in low tier wars the deads doens´t count so much). For example, a noob can do a necro run with a credit card or have 80 points in coliseum with 100 attemps. So this type of content doesn´t always require the best champ, can be done with worts champs or in different attemps. In BGs you only have one try and it has to be perfect you need to enter in a fight with the best posible option in every match.
What I mean by this is that battlegrounds are the game mode that demands the most from champions and IMO is the best mode to rate a champ. You need a champ that can have utility and damage as soon as posible or in the easiets way.
Also, the 90% of the champs that are good for BGs are good for the rest of the game. One good champ for BGs always is going to be good for other tipe of content (AW, AQ etc.) while a good champ for quest could be bad for BGs. The unique game mode that is different could be the big healt pools in everest content where a few champs can shine and probably only are good for this kind of content.
Re: Dark phoenix future acquisition
Hopefully never. We don't need more of her running around
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
We may have to get our hands on him first, deep dives only show the surface of a champ
Re: Removal of the old stats window.
It's an option you can turn on and off in the settings maybe it automatically got reset for you, turn beta features opt-in on and you'll the the advanced KO screen

I don't rely on personal attacks. It's actually embarrassing how you don't understand. Keep stroking that ego though, must be hard having nothing else to brag about except your mobile game rank.
