Re: onslaught change
If the effects have always been additive, meaning clearly designed that way, in the whole 11 years of the game, then how is it all of a sudden not a healthy one? What truly isn't healthy is making such a huge change to the game after all of the players have been used to it working the way that you guys originally designed those effects to work. Releasing new content while ignoring the bugs and issues that the community has been dealing with daily is not healthy. No one is just blowing through content or bosses due to damaging effects being additive. The game remains a challenge structured the way that it is, but this change, which will reduce the value of all champs who have bonus damage effects, will drive the game further towards not being fun and will drive a wedge between the community and the company.
Re: onslaught change
I think it’s time for the community to finally open our eyes and stop belbelieving the blind lies from Kabam when they say they are changing their processes and that they listen to us. Maybe, good time for another boycott or simply switching our place of interest to another game or whatever.
It’s been years that Kabam uses this approach: in order to fix something they break something, and mostly it is about fixing something small and breaking something big.
Why, just why, fix for two champions had to break 5 other champions?
Remember how Kabam fixed Silk lock? They literally buried Titania alive and nobody is using her now.
I am pretty sure there is a bunch of other examples of such inappropriate and dirty solutions they apply.
Just remember my words, someday one change like that will cost you everything. There will be the last thing that will break patience of all players. You will be like Thanos & infinity stones, with your another **** change. What did it cost? What will it cost? And you all know the answer to this.
Screw you, Kabam.
P.S. remember your perfect fix for 7* pool update issue. Nothing changes. Today, 3 months ago, 9 months ago, 2 years ago. You always apply the same strategy: fix less, break more, insist that it was bugged before and that you only see the right way.
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
”Bg Brainrot” is a pretty silly label, taken as some truism that we just accept for some reason.
BG champions are not ONLY good in BGs. They are good enough TO BE USED in BGs. That means they combine the damage necessary to produce good scores, the utility to counter strong and increasingly complex defenders, and the versatility to do so across a large spread of node combinations. Every champion who you see become a mainstay in the game mode will also find a place in AW, AQ, Coliseum AND Everest content.
The problem isnt that BG viability is the default measuring stick. The problem is that when kabam uses the term “Ramp Champion”, its often the case that two things are true:
1) This is code for “this champion has no viable short loop damage potential”. I stead of deigning champions to simply have different loops for different lengths we just went all in on one. And we chose the niche one
2) Ramp champions more often than not DONT HAVE THE DAMAGE OUTPUT TO JUSTIFY THE RAMP. Okoye, Cull, Deathless Thanos, Kate Bishop etc can all output MILLIONS of damage with their respective loops and they hardly ask anyanything in return. Why would I ever spend 3 minutes in single fight or 6 separate fights ramping someone when their payoff is like Stellar Forged Star lord? His PAYOFF when ramped is just KEEPING UP with those options I listed.
Im reserving judgement on Blue Marvel but my concerns are already mounting:
Why make a ramp SCIENCE champion whose debuffs are all intentionally useless at the typical science tropes of power gain and health management. A ramp up champion whose payoff CANNOT be activated early unlike photon and REQUIRES you to extend your time in the fight but clearly NOT intend for the payoff to be some of the largest in the game. When Im ramping one champion for 45 seconds Okoye is outputting 400k rotations while you turn your brain off. Of course Id never champion while such strong alternatives exist and OF COURSE Im going to immediately compare them across the relevant modes where they typically flounder in all but the most niche of niche scenarios to never be used again
Re: Rampant Unchecked Abusive Words in Global Chat and Cheating
There are lines that shouldn't be crossed and this is one.
Not only would I ban this idiot, if I could figure out country of origin I'd strongly consider reporting to cyber crime authorities. Let's see how edgy and cool someone is while being questioned by the Feds.
Re: Rant: The problem with “BG brainrot” and How it Has Distorted Champion Evaluation in MCOC
This doesn’t apply to blue marvel at all, useless in bgs, useless in war, has no defensive value, he’s literally just a worst version of photon and a slightly better version of sentry, mid ahh champ🥀💔
Re: This stupid Coliseum situation
I don’t like these fights.
But I do like that this time everyone is capped at ~12-14 healthbars maximum with average ~10 healthbars.
This is a good progress. At least now it is less grindy because you do your max, you get good podium level, e.g. 3. And you stop.
Nobody is grinding 20 healthbars. This is for good.
Re: onslaught change
If it has been like this for two years, and it hasn't been a game-killing issue, then leave it as it is. The player base is used to it being this way. Also, it was never mentioned before by anyone at Kabam, not listed to the trello board or communicated with us. This needs to go back to the way it has been working.
Re: This stupid Coliseum situation
The community is coming at the design of the fights when the design isnt the issue. The AI is.
Re: 6* r5 Asc don’t do enough dmg in Colliseum
Why are we using ascended 6*s to begin with
