Map rewards are actual rewards, too and their garbage. If map rewards don't matter why does the increase with difficulty?

I believe you have misunderstood the Essentia announcement. Loyalty is not included in the Essentia merge, but Glory is. The currencies being merged into Essentia are Battleground Trophy Tokens, Incursion Artifacts, and (AQ) Glory.

Loyalty is not going to be merged initially. The problem with loyalty is that unlike glory, tokens, and artifacts, loyalty is not capped, so many players have huge stockpiles of loyalty. Kabam presumably needs to figure out a solution to that issue before merging Loyalty with Essentia, assuming they want to do that at all.

Kabam will probably announce the conversion rates when we are closer to Essentia launch, or at launch. What we do know is that there will be a manual way for players to convert their existing currency to Essentia when Essentia launches, and that option will be available for some time after launch. Presumably, the conversion rates and limits are going to be designed to accommodate the higher earners in the game. There are players who earn lots of glory, artifacts, and tokens, and the Essentia conversion will have to deal with those players to ensure they aren't placed at a disadvantage or lose significant currency.

But the ranked rewards also look pretty much the same as regular aq.... So yes people might get more points from this mode compared to a regular week, but so will everyone else so most people just stay the same and mostly getting a pretty negligible amount of radiance... And yes it's just map rewards but why are t2a and t5b anywhere at this point on the highest maps.

Just so much out of date stuff in the game, the AW solo event (which got buffed for one thing event and then forgotten), the BG alliance event the platinum and gold tracks whose filler rewards haven't been touched in ages to name some and still just filled with predominantly 6* stuff.

What’s up with the payout? They went to the trouble of creating a new game mode and didn’t bother to update the out-of-date rewards?

I'm not faulting people for asking. That's expected. What I'm saying is it's not always possible.

The bottom line is more people got access to it than they intended. Sometimes opening the flood gates isn't the best response when it means making things worse.

I'd be swimming upstream if I opposed people asking. My point is, it's better to accept the outcome when they respond than to stew on it. There's no great conspiracy. If it was an option, I'm sure they would have given everyone another one. They've done similar things in the past. The thing I believe people keep overlooking is these situations are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. There is no "always do this" solution.
