Re: KT1, CCP & Twitch Drops – Can We Talk About This?
My boy, why do you keep using Chatgpt to write your posts. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously if you can't write for yourself
Re: KT1, CCP & Twitch Drops – Can We Talk About This?
I'm not going to wade in on the question of whether KT1 belongs in the CCP program or not. I will wade in on this:
But there should be transparent, achievable criteria.
Membership in the CCP program is not a milestone reward for the game. There is no "do this, get in" criteria. There never has been, and I doubt there ever will be. There was, and probably still is floating around a list of minimum standards that Kabam put out there to ensure content creators understood what the original goal of the program was - to support content creators with a significant audience and creating. substantial content involving the game. But there is no absolute minimum criteria to get in, and no absolute criteria to be automatically offered membership.
The idea that there should be is nonsensical. The CCP program is a partner program. Kabam - like every company - wants to partner with people that fall into whatever criteria they feel will be mutually beneficial. Those criteria can be highly subjective at times. To be blunt, they have to believe you would contribute positively to the program in an interesting or unique way, and you would interact well with everyone else in the program. If they decide someone wouldn't be, that's entirely their choice. Kabam should not be forced to automatically take on a partner just because.
There are people who voluntarily decide not to join, or who later decide to leave the program for a variety of reasons. And there are people who were either never offered a chance to join or who were later removed from the program, also for a variety of reasons. No one "deserves" membership. Membership is something Kabam elects to offer, and players decide whether to voluntarily accept. This is entirely optional on both sides.
I will say that as someone else put it earlier, if I was in charge of the program I would not want anyone in it who was joining specifically because of the rewards. I'm not saying KT1 or anyone else specifically is trying to obtain membership for that reason. I'm only saying if I was in charge that would be almost disqualifying. I am unaware of anyone in the CCP program that I would characterize as being in the program primarily because, or even in large part because of the rewards associated with the CCP program.
By extension, anyone who signals to Kabam that they are less likely to stream the game if they are not included in the CCP is someone they are probably much less likely to want in the CCP. Because anyone who would only contribute to the community if they get something back today is going to want more tomorrow.
I've been a member of the CCP for some time now. In that time I've probably spent thousands of hours doing things in conjunction with that membership, separate from my normal game play and even my normal community contributions on the forums or elsewhere. The only things I've gotten in return are opportunities. Opportunities to talk to the developers. Opportunities to talk to the other content creators. Opportunities to contribute to the game in ways that would have been difficult or impossible otherwise. But I don't get any of the benefits most people normally think about. I don't make traditional content, so I cannot make productive use of the materials given to most content creators to assist them with their content. I don't have monetized channels for what I create. And I don't participate in things like the content creator promo code programs or streaming drops for obvious reasons (although I suppose I could get creative with promo codes). I do not need or expect any sort of return for my participation. I was offered a chance to contribute, and that's why I'm there: to contribute to it, not to profit from it. I know many content creators are at least partially in it for the revenue, but most aren't making a significant living doing it. Most are primarily enthusiastic members of the MCOC community who would be making content for the game they play whether they were a part of the CCP or not. And that's probably a large reason why they are there.
Beyond that, the reasons behind anyone being invited or not invited are entirely at the discretion of Kabam, and I'm pretty sure Kabam is no more going to participate in an open discussion about those specific decisions any more than they would open up their HR records to the public.
Re: KT1, CCP & Twitch Drops – Can We Talk About This?
In addition to the unprofessional speech, here is my general issue with the CCP complaints right now.
People like KT have been around for a long time, and they were never interested in joining the CCP until Kabam began offering monetary perks.
But as a company, you do not want partners who only want to work with you once there is a monetary incentive.
The CCP is more about just money, so if you were never interested in being part of that program before these new perks, then are you really someone the company should trust? Especially when you call them the c-word?
Anyone who pays taxes knows the answer to this. Kids don't understand, but adults do.
Re: Stream Recap - February 27, 2026
I officially quit this game. Thanks for ruining the core kit of Magik. Utterly disappointing.
Re: Who are you more excited for? Pixie, Madelyne Pryor or reworked Magik?
However they did butcher her power control though, like not even power steal or wither? Also how well do we think she’ll do as a defender?
Pixie will probably be Nimgod food on defense
Re: New Carina Challenges
The Epoch Gauntlet is going so be really difficult. Not looking forward to it
Re: Who are you more excited for? Pixie, Madelyne Pryor or reworked Magik?
Pryor looks like the winner here.
I'm seriously debating whether I should even chase Magik. That radiance can definitely be used elsewhere, but it's also way less expensive than I initially predicted, so she's both mid and kinda cheap.
