One thing is for sure. This is definitely an unpopular stance. I guess if you enjoy acquiring champions that will hit a power ceiling sooner than others unless you spend thousands of dollars, than you can go ahead and have fun with that.

This system defeats a core part of MCOC, chasing the new champs. The fun of doing that is now severely diminished

I’m all for experiments, however radical. BG is pretty stale in its current form, I support all efforts to shake it up.

i already completed the 80points… and that fights was almost as annoying as the fight with crossbones… “my destroyer” was super aggressive, and because of that it was a pain to deal with falter, and kept throwing sp1 try as I may to push him to sp2 it didn’t work, but somehow (palpatine has returned) after 18 or 16 points he was working as intended… she hulk helps a lot, but Peter Parker help me 3 to 2 points at a time, then I tried she hulk again and was able to make 5 to 6 points

the main issue that people have is you can't ascend your champs as a ftp until 2027 without buying valiant crystals. this locks out people from what, ascending their, and lets be honest here, mostly mid champs that are available for ascension? most of the champs in the pool are mid. everyone knows this. kabam admitted as much. they're not going to add the best champs of each class into the first round of ascension options to have them be ascendable and crush every piece of content that's available. imagine having a r5 ascended serpent spiderwoman nico okoye fantman or onslaught. there would be chaos. the top spenders would have them all ascended day 1 and the rest of us would still be grinding for ascension materials months later. all act 9.4 content would have to be way harder than it's going to be in order to account for this.

so yes, i really don't care that i can't ascend these champs for awhile. i wouldn't use them anyway. when 7 stars were released, they didn't give everyone all the best champs as a 7 star on day 1. i played many years without an ascended 7 star and i can play the game the same way, using my actually good 7 stars in content, without ascension. it's not like if i can ascend jabari panther on day 1, then I'm suddenly going to use her instead of fury, okoye and yelena. if i had a day 1 ascendable gorr, i'm not going to use him instead of my serpent hulkling or karolina. and if I had a 7 star ascendable mr negative, i would still not use him instead of silk spiderwoman and nefaria. etc etc.

so ye, I don't care that I can't ascend champions til 2027. hopefully by then there will be actual good options to ascend. people are unnecessarily freaking out about this like it's such a huge deal.

I dont think the complexity is all that bad, the only bad thing about it is the new champions being locked to featured

It has always been that way, people spent ridiculous amounts of money for the first r4 or r5 for a vert short period of time. Ascensions are the same thing. Nothing has changed other than slowing down the release of 8*s

I really hope they aren't. One Epoch run cost me a lot of revives and potions, what's a whole gauntlet featuring all of them gonna do?

I went down the Cassie path and that power drain node was incredibly annoying and frustrating.

Let’s give accession a shot before judging it too harshly. I’m optimistic about it but I do agree with the concern about whales being the only ones who can ascend new champs. There should be some way free to play players can ascend some of the new champs.

But I think it’s not as complicated as it seems. Once it’s in game I think it will make a lot more sense.

The Saga control is very limiting, but I can understand the arguments made by @ItsClobberinTime - it'll definitely make for different defenders!

The 'Attacker's health not being scored' option seems pretty retrograde, as it'll just push players more and more towards nuke champs, and further from appreciating champs with a bit of nuance in their kit: basically the only thing that matters is damage.
