The more expensive it is the better it is too. That means it is targeted to the very few whales. It would be much worse if it was actually affordable if you think about it

Yes you are right; but how does that sffect other F2P players? The faster they realize they will never catch up the more enjoyable the gsme will be.

You are right; but why does that matter? They are not competing with each other, they might face each other in a BG match once in a while but they are not competing on the long run.

A negative thing that impacts the Majority less than it does the Minority, is still a negative thing.

By saying you're fine waiting 1+ year (up from waiting 3 months if opening a Titan, or 9 months if opening a Basic crystal) for a non-limited version of a champion, you are in essence fine if Kabam keeps increasing the time (why not 2 years?) and costs (if 36000 units is fine, why not 50000 units?).

And that doesn't even get into the opportunity cost - the "effort" that went into buffing mid champions for a mid Base pool is effort that could have gone to other champions. The "effort" that went into designing a new ascension economy is effort that could have gone fixing parts of the current economy. Etc.

Feedback on 7 Ascension: Please reconsider the current implementation

I’ve been a long-time player of this game, and I’m writing this because I am genuinely concerned about the current direction of the 7* Ascension mechanics. I want this game to succeed, but frankly, I haven’t seen a single person in the community who is happy with these changes.

Why is this so complicated?
We already have working systems for 4*, 5*, and 6* champions. Why overcomplicate things now? This new system, with its heavy reliance on Champion Tokens, Class Tokens, and specific requirements, is confusing even for veteran players. If a long-time player can’t easily wrap their head around it, there is no chance for a new player to understand it.

My main concerns:

Unnecessary Complexity: If you want to monetize this, we understand that, put it behind a paywall or specific offers if you need to generate revenue. But don't sacrifice the game's intuitiveness for it. Just introduce a Tier 3 Dust and keep the progression consistent with what we already know.

Champion Limitations: Limiting ascension to only specific champions is not fun. It restricts our rosters and makes the system feel arbitrary. Why not make every champion ascendable?

The 8* Alternative: Honestly, the community wouldn’t be against the introduction of 8 stars. It would be much cleaner and more logical than this current, convoluted workaround.

This is arguably the worst news I’ve seen regarding game mechanics in a long time. Everyone I see is concerned.

Please, Kabam, take a step back and reconsider this implementation. Simplify the process, make it accessible, and stop adding layers of mechanics that don't add value to the player experience.

You seem to be conflating two different things:

People are not freaking out about the mid Base Pool. Nobody cares about ascending these champions. People are not buying Valiant crystals to ascend these champions. People don't care about waiting 1-2 years to have an ascended Howard the Duck they will never use.

People are freaking out about the New (Valiant crystals) being locked out. You have to spend $$$ (like potentially opening 120 Grace crystals for 36,000 units) or wait 1-2 years in order to be able to ascend (likely not mid) new champions.

You are mistaken that there are no "actual good options" to ascend til 2027. There are good options right now (like Pavitr or other new champions) that can't be ascended for a long time. Ultimately that matters more for competitive players, but even for non-competitive players it doesn't feel good to have to wait that long.
