I don’t recall needing to spend thousands of dollars to unlock a new power level in the past, whether that be six or seven stars on launch. For example when seven stars launched, I was able to get a seven star through the shooting stars quest. It wasn’t a year after release where I could finally unlock the next power level.

Ascension for new champs being gated behind thousands of dollars for the first YEAR, sets a new and scary precedent for the future of this game. Hence all of the (deserved and accurate) negativity

Yes, that was the whole point of a rework, nobody ever said her kit would remain the same and as a result so would her playstyle which btw her playstyle used to be sp2 spam lmfao let’s stop acting like the playstyle was even that engaging to begin with because it was not, it was completely braindead

Still, the animations do look so much better than her old animations of just punching and kicking while using her soulsword only on special attacks

With 6* ascension, whales were only ahead by months maybe. If I'm understanding it right, 1 year is a very different situation.
