Honestly seeing how many points it took to complete (130k+) when your average per run is like 1.8k-3k if you’re lucky and then the absolutely catastrophic drop rates from the red pockets (I’ve opened 54 in week 1 and got a total of grand total of ZERO units for over 5h invested,) I didn’t even bother with it in weeks 2 and 3. I cleared the first few milestones using the left over bronco tokens from the previous weeks and left it at that. What an absolute waste of time. This on top of the piss poor “buffs” that launched on Monday, the abhorrently hideous whale focused monetisation on the new ascension and the AI issues that STILL persist 2y after Kabam finally acknowledged there were issues and over 1y after AI2.0 was announced (still with no roadmap to launch or a single shred of development in site for the near future) and I think I’m finally done with MCOC. I mean hell, I used to happily spend £200-300 a month on this game, but that gets me next to nothing anymore. Over the last 6-12 months Kabam have effectively priced me out of the game. You need to spend like £1-2k every month to keep up and it’s ridiculous! It’s just heartbreak after heartbreak, stress after stress, disappointment after disappointment. It’s just not fun anymore.

Exactly right. I was joking with an alliance mate that if you got 5 Fire (orange) factions, you’d still need 60 (!) of those to even reach the final milestone. That is unbelievable!

When the stream happened and that guy started talking to Mike and was all excited cause he hit the magic number 15k+ Super Duper Shards I felt good. I told myself hey I got 37K and a bunch of crystals I can still open. Then Mike came in and said he has like 80k+ and the excitement went down a bit

So I decided to message a guy I know for a long time, heavy spender, not a whale but swims in that eco system. Found out he has over 130k...

Long story short, I made my peace early. I won't be swimming in those waters and most likely never run into them to consider them my competition other than a casual VT climb unlucky match.
