I think the upgrade was very clever; the game would be terrible if there were 8-star heroes... And I disagree, Kabam doesn't just adjust the game for those who pay; it's kept it balanced for 10 years. It's normal and understandable that only those who pay get the services first, because they need to make money.

Meanwhile OP can't ascend a single 7* champ bcos he's not even playing the game at all

It’s all up to the whales, they are the only ones with the power to change how all of this works. If they accept it and keep spending, nothing will change.

For me personally, the ascension system is absolutely exhausting. It’s a miserable feeling to have to rely on RNG to rank up the character you want, or spend thousands of units to guarantee it.

Also just imagine if you whale out on featured crystals and have to use the pity system to get the champ you want and then in a few months Kabam stealth nerfs that champ. No thanks. That would make me delete the game on the spot.

Other comments are correct. It seems the daunted change is interacting with inequity in the same way it's acting with protection now. Her damage feels much much worse in any pvp matchup with debuffs involved.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem like an intended interaction as inequity should act as a weakness and not as a protection.

yeah I never buy the featured crystals and can’t see that changing bc of ascension. 0.45% chance to pull the desired champ is ludicrous. Part of me honestly hopes this creates so much dissent that the game collapses.

so i choose not to play gc or high tier war. so i dont get radiance. my point is that before banquet it would come in without the need for buying it in store. its very expensive in bgs store and glory store etc. doesnt give enough to consistently rank up champs.
