Re: Armor Up Iron man
There are champions that are called mystics. A lot of them have abilities to nullify or prevent champions buffs from activating. Those champions have a purple icon on them.
Re: Armor Up Iron man
For Ironman - keep hitting him and dexing his specials.
For scream - she has a buff she can get that will give her auto-block, so just parry/heavy when she has it.
For Medusa - when she has 3 or more furies and is awakened, she can auto-block the second hit of a combo or special. Parry/heavy.
For every other champ - read the kits of champs you have trouble with and use a more diversified roster yourself so you can learn instead of complaining. There is no unbeatable champ in this game.
My Ordeal villains run (as a noob for long-form content)
My Team:
- Mister Sinister (R4 Sig 200)
- Serpent (R4 Sig 200)
- Scorpion (R4 Sig 200)
- Venom (R3 Sig 20 - got him only for Scorpion synergy but he proved useful)
- Arnim Zola (R2 Sig 20 - got him strictly for Sinister synergy, used him to finish fights when I dies around 1-2%)
Fight Summary:
- Doom: Solo - Sinister [I restarted several times without running boosts to get a feel of the fight and once I was ready, I boosted, lost 2 times and then won the 3rd time. Standard Sinister rotation]
- Terrax: Solo - SInister [Stun him, swap back for distance, hold and release heavy, Sp1, rinse and repeat]
- Vision: 1 revive - Serpent, Scorpion [Only on this fight did I realize I didn't equip Scorp with the Ant-man relic :'(, went with Serpent first, took out around 30% health before losing, cleaned-up with Scorpion after with SP1 spam, chose Shock as pre-flight]
- M.O.D.O.K: 2 revives - Sinister [Standard Sinister rotation, I f'd up once]
- Spider-Ham: 5-6 revives - Serpent [Oh boy... It took some time to get adjusted to his playstyle with no stuns and with suicides on, I couldn't spam Specials too with 20% revives, one time I got power stinged to death, most of the time I lost to Ham's SP2 unblockable]
- Wolverine - Weapon X: 1 revive - Sinister [Spider-ham got to me :'( , could have easily been a Solo but mistimed and got out]
- Thing: Solo - Sinister [Slow fight but standard Sinister rotation, get Thing to 15 rock stacks during his defensive phase, let me throw SP1 during offensive phase]
- Korg: 3 revives - Sinister [Most of the time I lost due to his Rock Phase and stun-heavy was being purified, standard Sinister rotation]
- Dragon Man: 2 revives - Scorpion, Arnim for KO [SP1 spam, don't get Dragon Man to SP3, can block SP2 attacks and dex SP1 attacks, lost due to SP3 once, used Arnim at the last 2% or so...]
- BPCW: 3 revives - Serpent, Sinister [Got clipped usually during both unstoppable and unblockable phases]
- Nightcrawler: 1 revive - Serpent, Sinister [Could have been a Solo, wasn't careful enough, Sinister himself is fine]
- Spider-Gwen: 3 revives - Venom, Serpent [This was stupid... Can be soloable, nerves got to me :'( ]
- Domino: Solo - Sinister [Standard sinister rotation]
- Mojo: 1 revive - Scorpion [SP1 spam, got clipped once]
- Immortal Abom: 1 revive - Sinister [Standard sinister rotation, got cocky and clipped once]
- Apoc: 1 revive - Serpent, Arnim Zola [Serpent for 98%, Zola for 2% - went with Serpent SP3-SP2 most of the time, blocked Apoc's SP1 and SP2 for willpower healing, got clipped by SP2 once resulting in revive]
- Sassy: 2 revives - Scorpion [SP2 spam mostly for petrify-heal, could have done in 1 revive at max]
- Killmonger: 3 revives - Venom, Arnim Zola [Venom for 99%, Zola for 1%, most of me dying was due to Killmonger's SP1 dex mistiming and on2 SP2 direct hit and Suicides showing it's work, could have done in 1-2 revives]
- Void: 2 revives - Sinister [Needed to full-heal, went with 40% revive and lost due to VOid shenanigans...]
- Nick Fury: Solo - Sinister [Standard Sinister rotation, try to hit SP1 around 5-6 self-bleeds]
- N.Thanos: 2 team revives: Went to 30% almost instantly with Serpent, revives used for last phase, once I understood and played it safe, I won it]
For my first attempt at long-form, Sinister was a clutch, I would have used more revives than this if I didn't have Sinister.
He helped so much with his kit like blocking unblockable hits, pausing stun while holding heavy leading to some specific scenarios such as waiting out unstoppable for BPCW, etc.
I hope there is a cheat-code character like him in the heroes side...
Total revives used: ~30 revives and 2 team revives and loads of health potions (I opened nearly 400 daily crystals...)
Re: Server Maintenance coming
Thanks for making a post about something that was already in the mail. Not being sarcastic, most likely a lot of people will be making posts during maintenance with titles like "Compensation!!! I was doing my ordeal run and you shut down the server!!!"
Re: Ordeal Hero attempt - team planning help
Glad you got it done. Now for that hero challenge. I'd still go with my original suggestion for your hero team when you're ready "I would swap Medusa for Hulk, and just use one of two revives for Vision. Hulk can do more than Medusa in ordeal."
Hulk is a best, especially if you have 20% revives and just want to spam revive. You can go for a sp3 - sp1 stun lock. That should kill almost everyone Hulk can take with one revive (since yours is a rank 2). It makes the game play easier if you just want it done. You can also farm 20% revives from class variant Spidey 3.2 (the one with miles as a boss). But since variants are going away with the next update, this strategy is time limited.
Re: Abyss Hero Planning
I assume that objective will be you have to beat her with ONLY SL on your team. All three fights are doable with him even with a class disadvantage vs Omega Red.
I just figured that a ramped up SL would be helpful vs the grandmaster.
Huge W pro player move - side quest kos not needing revives and potion heals.
Going into side quest, koing, then realising the game puts you back into the fight with full hp, no revive or heal up needed….is one of the biggest pro player moves since the 40% alliance war revive was put in for 1 gold.
It takes the frustration, that can build up, out of the game almost completely..
You ko because of ai issues - no problem..have a free reset.
You ko because of input issues - no problem …have a free reset.
You ko because the game crashes repeatedly - no problem…have a free reset.
Huge thankyou to whoever put that into the design.
Side quest is 10 times more enjoyable just because of that.
And it already is a brilliant side quest..2 star heroes. Short. With challenges that help you learn how to play them…top notch side quest.
It actually makes me want to spend on the game …. As a player I feel…like the game is supporting my play, not crushing me into the ground…it wants me to play..to have fun..to learn…and it picks me up when I’m down…that’s the type of game I would spend money on to support.
Keep this up kabam, and you’ll strengthen the player base over time.
I know it doesn’t make sense to put it into story or eq content as that’s meant to be a more serious challenge ..(although I wish you would, it’d take a lot of stress out of it as I’d rather spend units on nice things like shiny crystals or banquet) but for side quest…it’s perfect.
Nicely done on this one.
Server Maintenance coming
Re: Abyss Hero Planning
Nope, I mean that indestructible at max sig is a huge safety net but if you’re at the very least decent at the game sig 20 is more than enough. He doesn’t need the sigs for damage at all so even unawakened still good, the awakened ability is nothing but a safety net.
