I think we can all universally agree that one of the best parts about this game is the art. So this is my plea to Kabam: Give us champion and lord icons!

For those of you confused, there is another popular marvel game called Marvel Rivals. Everything else about that game aside, one aspect of it I love is the champion and lord icons. Basically as you play and master a champ, you can earn their lord and champion icons. Usually its just the character in a different pose and a bit of shine added to the profile for the lord icon and then the champion icon is slightly animated as well.

This would literally be so perfect for MCOC. Every champion already has their own icon and profile. Letting people earn champion/lord icons for their favorite characters would be an absolutely huge win!

First of all, it would make the game so much more customizable and personalized. You could master your favorite champions and show them off on your profile, it would be so amazing.

Additionally, it would add some more cosmetics to the game, which MCOC really needs. I mean aside from PFPs and Titles we really don't have anything to personalize our accounts with.

Now the way I would go about implementing this new champion/lord icon is to just copy the Rivals system but make it fit MCOC.

So every champion would have levels, let's say levels 1 through 20. You can level up champions by playing them. For example, deal X amount of damage, take X amount of damage, win X amount of fights etc. and you can get 1 level.

It could be scaled so that you get better rewards for higher levels reached. So it could look something like:

Level 1: You get something simple maybe a custom title for that champion. Like for Spider-Man you get Friendly Neighborhood Spideman as a title.

then the next reward comes at

Level 5: You get a custom emote of that champ for battlegrounds.

then the next reward is at

Level 10: You get that champions lord icon. Which is just the normal profile, maybe with a bit of a golden shine and a new unique pose for the character.

Next

at Level 15 you get X amount of units.

Finally

at Level 20 you get the champion icon which is just the lord icon with a light animation. Nothing crazy just a small sway back and forth.

This is kind of the Marvel Rivals system translated into MCOC but honestly, they could skip the whole leveling system and just make it a single reward which is the new icon/profile. I would be fine with that as that is the part I really want. Basically play this champion X amount and get a cool profile/icon for them.

This change would be relatively simple to implement because it has no impact on gameplay, It's purely aesthetic. No balancing needed. Kabam already designs different profile pics so I don't think designing new champion profiles/icons would be an absurd ask for them.

It would massively improve engagement because I promise you so many people will start to grind different champions to master them.

It would be a huge win for the playerbase as well and earn Kabam some much needed cred.

Like, its a comparatively simple addition to the game, but one that would have such an incredible impact.

I think every champion of every star level should be able to earn these icons. So for one stars it might be much easier but for seven stars its much more difficult.

The icons/profiles should be entirely engagement based and gameplay based. Don't make it luck based, we don't need a new crystal or currency or anything like that. Just a simple play champ for X amount and master them setup.

This would add so much replay-ability to the game as well. I just feel like its addition would have no downsides.
