Red pool is a trophy champ. There have been a few ways to get one for free though. The 4* was part of a free path on a platinum track sometime last year.

II've said it before theres never a reason to stall at a progression and not push for the highest level possible. Unless your fish monkey. Then theres just no helping you.

I feel like the block damage on serpent maybe photon? Would be a lot for torch

And yeah even liam said RGs matchup spread isn't impressive in a recent video. Though not sure if a buff immune is necessary for Magik.

If i were to rank in terms of value maybe

Torch > R5 mats > Red Guardian

I’ve never had a time where I said “I wish I had a buff immune champion right now.”

Most nodes and champion mechanics outright punishes Buff Immunity. I rarely use Titania even in cases where buff immunity would work, as other Science champions can get around buff problems without needing buff immunity.

Most Science champions can replicate RG’s big damage and managing buffs; there are very few Science champions that can replicate HT’s DoT focus.

Personally, I would go Torch even if I didn’t already have RG for one simple reason: he’s a nuke and almost nobody is immune to his damage.
Everyone knows how strong Starky is and that’s because of his versatility, damage and ramp there aren’t that many things to shut him down. Torch is very similar to him in that sense which makes him a little more valuable than Red Guardian in my opinion, and I’m a Red GOAT glazer myself but the fact that things like tenacity purify tranquilize resistances and other things make him mid just puts Torch a little above him.

a lot of us have hit a point that gets us off our butts to get the next progression level(s). maybe this is your call to action? especially as F2P, you’ll quickly notice a difference in reward scaling. been there myself. it’s worth the push.
