That was your fault, all you had to do was not do the content, there’s no pressure. You had no business doing this content, knowing you didn’t have the skill or the resources required to get through it.

@willrun4adonut little bit of both to be honest. I honestly, truly, truly truly hate this piece of content. Like I hate it so much. I thought I was going do so much better this go because of what I learned in the hero run, but honestly, another hundred revives down the crapper. After awhile I just kind of lost all motivation to try and just revived my way through it and once he went unstopped at one I was like huh, that’s different, OH Sh**, and then Immediately just stopped playing.

It wasn't possible with the hero challenge because the quest didn't appear until the day the challenge came out. It should be possible with the villain challenge though. I doubt Kabam will change it

BringPopcorn is absolutely right. I even have an unopened crystal from the 2024 Banquet to remind me how terrible it was, and that I wouldn't miss it not opening it.

Focused only on PvE means — to me — you’re here to chill out and have fun rather than compete. In that case, just take whatever seems most entertaining in the moment. R5 mats will be common soon enough. Torch may or may not come around again.

If you were interested in PvP, I’d say Torch is a no brainer, especially with all the mystics running around these days.

Also, you’ve never used Sinister…?

How are you not using Sinister in anything? I didn't know that that was even possible.

This is the main concern I have right now. The responses have convinced me that R5 mats just aren't that immediately beneficial in my situation, but will I really be using Torch THAT much for mainly PVE if I have champs like photon spiderwoman and silk?

A good example is Mr. Sinister, who I immediately r3d after hearing he was god tier, but have LITERALLY NEVER USED HIM in practically ANY content. Unless I will be using Torch as much as like Cheeilth/okoye or like onslaught or smth, I would probably just go for the r3/r4 materials just to diversify my roster.

edit: I think someone already answered this above and said nova flame is unique to torch so he brings unique utility compared to other top science. But what are your thoughts, its been a while since I saw anything strictly incinerate related node wise in quests. And are r3/r4 material deals feasible or just a bad deal?
