Re: Does this War Count?
Maintenance isn't deciding anything. The game literally crashed and they're trying to bring it back up. They're not doing this to anyone. They might make the war not count (which they won't correctly fix so it won't matter), or the war will still count - they will decide once the final picture is in view.Unrelated to maintenance issue. But why do you need to spend units on energy refill when it's a 2 day war?Its not the matter of whether i needed to or not, i also didnt need to spend an hour and a half doing assignments and i didnt need to spend 400k loyalty on potions. The fact that i did all of that and that many other players are in a similar position to give their alliance the best competitive advantage just for a maintenance to decide the outcome of the war is simply unfair. Imagine your alliance is about to get the highest rank they have ever achieved with only 1 boss remaining and a maintenance kicks in and your alliance loses the war and their progression. That is what i am trying to get at.
There's bigger problems here than a single war. July is deserving of some pretty juicy comp for how bad the game has been for the last week, with consideration for how bad the game has been for the last several months on top of that.
Re: Does this War Count?
This whole situation is also unfair to the already winning alliances that could be impacted by this maintenance as well in the case that this war doesn’t count, because they have also used resources. Only thing i can think of is if they do what they did a few seasons back and bump everyone up a rank. Not sure if that’s what this situation calls for but it’s an option on the table.
Re: Game down?
@KabamPinwheel This is pretty tough timing, as you have already said. Especially for those of us working who were waiting for our lunch break to finish our DSE. Can a discussion be had for granting some DSE stuff including the summoner fest points in a comp package?
Re: Game down?
yea, we have processes in place, thats what triggered the emergency maintenance, just takes longer to get things back up and going cause your dealing with folks coming online as you need them there to help haha. Comms are manual from us though so took a bit longer. Appreciate the understanding! As a guy in a “corporate” myself where we supply tech support to other business, I understand this very well, and, can’t believe I’m saying it, sympathise with you here. Out of hours issues are worse since they can catch you at the worst place, time, and even position 👀 at times. It’s hard to properly and effectively react to it, but preventative measures have to be in place for such incidents. I’m gonna eye ball it and say that it was pointless to call OnCall/Standby engineers since it was coming close to the working hours anyways - hence potentially the late “response”. 😉
Not quite a full hour but yea, certainly too long. Really just hit at just the worst moment, folks on their way into work and all. Usually Im working from home so would be around for stuff like this but Im visiting the office this week, so just poor timing. Definitely want to do better in situations like this (though ideally we avoid these all together haha)

Re: Woah…. fun content?!
Hot take but I miss the necropolis challenges somewhat. The last ones were great and tag champs selected fit perfectly. This content reminded me a bit of necropolis cause of large health pool.
