this is a fair point, there’s a shock value to the new EQ that’s hard to get beyond.

I finished elder after a couple of days. Cost me 12-15 revives to do the whole thing. Some real talk…

— yes, it’s difficult. The attack values are such that when you make a mistake or catch an ill-timed lag, you will die. Take a bad attacker who doesn’t counter the opponent well? You might die or you might just be in a six minute fight. Neither is great.

— however, the first quest is one of the more challenging and the Blade and Fixit fights are particularly tough. (Take a full bleed immune for Blade, it’s annoying otherwise.) But, it gets easier after those fights.

— there are plenty of fights through the whole EQ that are very smooth if you choose a good counter; the bosses are all nothing to worry about, provided you’re paying attention

so yeah, it’s hard. But the first impression with the mutant quest is particularly bad.

I think it's barely been a week lol - many haven't even touched monthly EQ , to observe there is a certain time limit

U can't just say on day 1 give comp + retune it

For the same reason a champion observation period is 3 months not 1 month or less - so it's a descent window to judge

( But still from the initial reaction they started making test for the next month - which is a good step for the future ) 🤷

To my recollection, they have never taken down EQ and adjusted values, and I've been here since The Louisiana Purchase was in escrow.

I think this is spot on and illustrates that most of us exist in our own bubble and it is hard to extrapolate from outside that bubble. I did the elder difficulty and there was a lot that I liked. Most of the fights were ok and the healthpools made them an actual fight rather than 15-20 second fight of the previous valiant EQ. If your health bar was reset between fights, it would have been just about perfect, aside from a few defenders that didn't fit and should not exist in class gated content (looking at you Mojo). I also have a stacked roster and have spent the past 3-4 years playing and planning wars in tier 1. I say that because I have been on break from tier 1 and recently joined a gold alliance to get the last token for the revamp champs and I cannot get over the skill difference between my t1 alliance and this tier 5 alliance. I have to believe that tier4/5 and below represent the majority of the player base and half these guys lose their whole AQ team in the 1st 3 lane fights. And we die 100+ times a war and don't 100% the map and still win. Several of these guys have a roster similar to mine or higher prestige. I don't mean to slag on them. They are having fun. But if Kabam were more in tune with the skill level and casual commitment level of the majority of their players, they would see that there can never be a one size fits all EQ that will challenge the best players without alienating the majority or vice versa.

SIde note: I can't even speak to the rewards as I am still confused on what rewards I have received from 100% the content.

You're saying give it a couple iterations but this is the 4th/5th iteration… This is supposed to be the completed version after 4 months of testing….

Wow, so he is never going to use the rewards in non competitive content in any competitive content ever? He gets a new champ and he will say "Oh this one I got from someone else doing Necro for me, I am not going to put it in my BG deck"?
