Our alliance is playing like normal. When the freeze happened, we were locked into T1. Regardless of any wins or losses until season is over, we will start T1 next season.

What was passed along to me though, is that we're still able to accrue points through our performance so we're playing seriously (boosts and all), as apparently T1 won't ever get worse, but we can possibly get out of P2 and into P1.

Their idea of scalling difficulty was to give you a smaller toothbrush to clean a bigger bathroom. That is just tedious.

I get the distinction you’re making. I consider that two components of difficulty, which I can paraphrase as “can you figure out how to do this” and “can you do it a hundred times in a row.” I’m pretty good at the former, and not so good at the latter, as my first Necro run will attest to.

My first test run of Elder I went in cold, just to see what the difficulty was like. I was dead in four fights. I would need to play at peak DNA to have any shot at completing it without burning a lot of resources, and my roster is pretty good. I can do it, but month after month? Not my idea of fun.

But I’m not complaining about that specifically: I do not in general complain when things are too difficult for me. That’s a me problem. I only express concerns about difficulty when I think it will be detrimental to the game as a whole. Also, Elder difficulty is optional. It might be (and probably is) too hard, but we high(er) end gamers can opt out of it. The players that just want to do Classic every month don’t have options, beyond opting out of monthly EQ completely. We can take care of ourselves, but they not only don’t have options, they often don’t have many prominent advocates either.

I don’t mean to imply what I point out is the only problem, or that addressing it will be enough. My main reason for posting was that Kabam has already announced they will be taking feedback into consideration and making tweaks and adjustments. However, the one problem tweaks and adjustments can’t address is this one: the one where whomever they target with those changes, only a few of us will actually be in that target. Either most of us will be bored because it will be too easy, which will defeat much of the purpose, or a lot of us will be shut out because it will be too difficult, which will be potentially game-threatening.

You will get rewards from the freeze day (September 03, 2025) at the end of the regular season.

AW Rating freezes from that day on and rewards will be that. You can not fall down or go up in rating from there on for this season. AW continues you can fight or just leave it go. Rewards are locked in.

I vote we can the reactions and go to a simple Up/Down. If you want more granularity, I’d suggest going back to the drawing board because what we have now is confusing and each carries too many potential interpretations to be meaningful.

I’d also suggest adding the simple “flag” reaction to tee up posts for review that are clearly violative of forums rules. And police that one by handing out lengthy bans on folks who abuse it—reaction abuse is way too common.

I’d also suggest requiring linkage between forums account and in game account. Having skin in the game when you make outrageous claims or ad hominem attacks might add some civility to forums.

I completely understand your point. My main issue is that this is not more "difficult", its just unforgiving. I guess their definition of difficult is playing without blocking and constantly intercepting for 3-4 mins per fight.

They might as well make Elder difficulty with a constant unblockable global node if they expected that.

If it's on the Forum, anyone can respond. Also, comments like that are not only against the rules, they show a level of maturity that is lacking. The Forum is for everyone whether you want them here or not.

It's your Account, by all means, keep jeopardizing it.
